Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
I just tried (by accident) to navigate (from the tree) to an empty CD/DVD drive and I get the "Location Currently Not Available" message in the list. XY then proceeds to propagate the message to all tabs and panes as I click on them or navigate to other folders. The only way to clear it is...

Dual Pane Breadcrumbed Address Bar
I did a search of address bar and breadcrumbs and found some topics that addressed one or the other but not both (I don't think) - but I didn't see anything that mentioned this. I use dual pane exclusively and I'm lazy :) . What about an AB above each pane with a breadcrumb'ed path. I am sort of get...

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
I just tried "reconnect" (with the drive already mapped ) and nothing happened. I tried disconnect drive - nothing.
I will try after a reboot and see if I get the same results.

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D You did it!!!! It doesn't even ask for creds like x2 did - it just works like it should. I didn't need to run "Reconnect All Mapped Drives". Initially the drive came up "Not Available" but I waited a few more seconds and reclicked in the tree - voila - ...

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
Both locations are available? :shock: :mrgreen: Another question. Can you reconnect your mapped drives by doing Tools / Tools Special / Reconnect All Mapped Network Drives? No. Nothing happens with that menu item. I tried several times. The ONLY way (so far) I am able to get access to the mapped dr...

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
Yes this is a password protected share. Windows explorer has access to it without a login dialog. My old file explorer (x2) does not - but it pops up a login dialog. XY does not.I thought we are talking about password protected shares which should pop a logon dialog. Or not?

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
Sorry, I wasn't clear in my explanation. The message/error I'm getting is not the ::lognetworkaccess popup dialog but the message in the list "Location not available" for all tabs for all folders.

Microsoft Security Essentials
I just wanted to to put an FYI out there about this. In some very large folders I was experiencing a very slow XY (it would freeze for 5-10secs) when going to the bottom of the folder using the slider. I noticed a huge uptick in Process Explorer on the MS Security Essentials engine (MsMpEng.exe) - s...

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
Sorry to be a pain - but now when I get the "location not available" when I try to navigate away from that location ALL the tabs including the original "network" one give me that message with the folder name of where I was going trying to go to. I have to restart xy then its back...

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
I saw that you have a .0012 update to fix this.
I now get the dialog you were talking about - but still no access.
This is what I get.
Proc: IsShareAccessDenied
Path = \\srv1\tera
Accessible = True
AccessDenied = False
Error = 0
XY ver 8.70.0012
OS Windows 7

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
I tried all those ways including the tree. I just tried locking the tree as suggested and selecting the mapped drive (and other drives). Same thing no dialog or message.

Re: Connecting to mapped network drive after Windows has booted
I tried ::lognetworkacess 1 <enter> - I do not get any dialog or message of any type after trying to change to ANY folder or drive including a mapped drive.
