Re: Reference Guide - Script Tour
Being offline most of the time I simply CAN'T work with the Wiki format. Anyway, I'll try to post collected scripts in here anyway and who have the rights and set ups use them any way they can in honor to XYplorer. Thanks for being responsive here and in the New User's Reference Guide thread.

Stinky Selection (sorry, but I HATE that as it is!)
Pardon me, but I HAD to say that way. Hope you understand. What sounded like a priceless tool went into a useless nightmare: Having to sort some pictures and scrutinizing tons of offline XY forum pages, I guessed that Sticky Selection could come into play and make things easier. That's what happened...

Re: Search for filename/path length
Currently (since 2009-11-17) you can.
Press CTRL+F, enter the path into the Location field (or mark the "Auto sync" check box below/at right the Location field) and type this into the NAME field:
len: > 254

Mouse wheel to work on boxes.
I thought it wasn't working only at the adress bar. But then I needed to set up a burning set of discs and decided to give the "len: > 260" a try. On a "d/e/f/g:\B" paths as base, I thought it was fast to search for those annoying long path files. The I realized that I had to ent...

Bring XYplorer in front of Action Log window.
Action Log is a great feature. But I'd like to be able to real time see in folders what has been done/could be undone.
Currently I have to open another XY instance as for a workaround.

v.8.80.0016 cannot handle .lnk files. (adress bar: %userprof
It opens a box telling "Windows cannot open this file:" and leaving options to use the web to find appropriate program or select a program from a list. Opening from WE works alright. Problem also occurs when using SearchGT, which works from inside the same WinExplorer window. Double checke...

Windows 2000 support.
A while ago I saw a little discussion on support to Win2K.
Thanks I saw it, because I was unable to execute a simple "backup to" operation, which went as expected on a WinXP machine.
-is that hard to keep support for Win2K?

Re: Tab groups
I can only create one single set as TABs. Submenus containing sets of tabs would be great. It seems that zer0's code will handle it better, now I'm learning how to use CTB (Custom Toolbar Button). That default button should be customizable, also - or changed to something else less... errr... "d...

Re: Default Context Menu for Handling Files
Realized that F9 - Advanced - unchecking "Custom drag'n'drop context menu" will do the trick... =)
Getting used to it. Sorry for that!

EDIT: Improved code (a bit): ::copytext ("<curpath>\"); status "Paste current path (CTRL+V) into Finder!"; open "<xydata>\_RES\Soft\Finder\Finder.exe" admin: I just had an idea that could work: Have a list right on the Contents tab (at the right side of the text box) t...

Reference Guide - Script Tour
For the sake of XYplorer's New User's Reference Guide , I'm opening this thread in order to start the most complicated part of the (project?) - gathering scripts in a single thread for the ordinary user. What is expected: -Scripters could take one of each script/variable available and, focused on it...

Re: New User's Reference Guide
***please note*** It's a part of a post made in another section, but it also does make sense here. Don't know about house's rules (on repeating a large section of a post), so leave that with Don... Not that I am trying to master XY being just a newbie. I am in fact trying to translate those features...
