Re: Floating preview: Fit Width in addition to Fit Image
I don't know Don, but I think it would truely be a killer feature. Think about it...your in a folder of pics (thumbnails) and you right click the first one or anyone to get into MDBU and then staying in MDBU, you are able to cycle through the remaining pics by hitting a key or mouse scroll and then ...

Re: Floating preview: Fit Width in addition to Fit Image
Hi Don, In Floating Preview it would be nice to be able to view the pictures and zip through them in the format seen in MDBU (ie., staying in the format seen in MDBU - no frame/no caption waisting precious desktop space and the picture in actual size (fitting the window to image and fitting image to...

Re: Floating Preview caption
Oh, you are absolutely right about your MDBU feature. I do still like the idea of an unframed Floating Preview with an allowance for no caption - "View minimal" as Media Player Classic Home Cinema calls it.

Re: Floating Preview caption
Thanks Don. Media Player Classic Home Cinema actually allows you to move the frameless box around your screen by clicking the left mouse button down, holding it down and drag the media/movie in the frameless box around the screen to place it where you want it and you can also double click the box to...

Re: Floating Preview caption
I don't really understand your problem with the caption. What's the alternative? Just "XYplorer" as caption. Or nothing? (Very unusual) No problem really. Yes, I did mean nothing. It's nice though to have the picture or media in a clean uncluttered frame (or even better no frame) without ...

Floating Preview caption
Hi Don, Is there any possibility of adding an option for your new Floating Preview which would remove the upper caption (the file name) on top of the preview box and instead have a clean box? I think it would lead to an even better and cleaner picture viewing experience. If someone needs to see the ...

Re: LayoutManager
Hey Filehero, I hope you had a nice weekend. You might want to check out this XY forum discussion. The tail end of it touches apon a similar issue concerning the greying out of icons. OBS: when i put all of them in a single script the menu has to be scrolled and, for some reason, the icons use negat...

Re: LayoutManager
Hey again, As a quick followup to my last post...please read first...I used the XY internal ":favs" icon (16x16 size) within another script on my laptop and it did show up a greyed out instead of gold. So, I suppose that tells us it's not your script that's the problem, it's any script tha...

Re: LayoutManager
Hey Filehero, I hope you're enjoying the weekend. Yesterday turned into a nice day and today looks to be sunny as well. I returned the LMMenu.xys code on the laptop back to using the internal XY icon, ":favs" mainly for testing purposes. I was also suspecting the behavior might have someth...

Re: LayoutManager
Hey Filehero, I hope all is well. Any rest scheduled for this weekend? It is indeed strange that you had the same issue with the gold star appearing as gray on your lapptop as I did and not on your desktop. My 2 desktops and my laptop all have Windows 7 installed. At first I was thinking it may be a...

Re: LayoutManager
Hey Filehero, I checked my desktop and the Gold Star indicating the active layout is indeed golden unlike on my laptop as I reported last night. I've been looking through the Layout Manager files and I think you use the XY internal icon :favs for the golden star and :favfiles for the blue inactive l...

Re: LayoutManager
Hi again Filehero, Something odd just happened on the Layout Manager menu. The golden star for the active layout is now gray instead of gold. :( I've been poking around in the ini and xys files, but haven't been able to find out why. I've attached a picture of what I mean. xy01.jpg It's only happene...

Re: LayoutManager
Hey Filehero, I hope all is well. Sounds like you've been busy. I just this morning received an email from Buy.com of Lightroom 4 being on-sale. I have been using Layout Manager and haven't experienced any issues. I was glad to see that after making changes to a layout, the asterisk appears as we di...

Hi Filehero, Ah yes, now I see. Manual editing of the layouts.ini file, if and when I wanted that feature, would be fine with me. Ken

Re: LayoutManager
Hey Filehero, I'm not positive what you meant by, Another option is to provide it just as a read-only ini-tweak. Only if it's there (and has a valid value) it will be read and processed. Does it mean the script would look at xyplorer.ini and see if the line entry "CatalogOnTop" existed and...
