I tried Foxit Reader on Windows 7 64 bit and I couldn't get thumbnails working even for Explorer. A quick look at their forum says thumbnail generation on 64 bit systems is not fully working at the moment. I have working PDF thumbnails in Windows 7 64 bit with PDF-XChange Viewer, however out of the box I could not get thumbs in XYplorer in Windows 7 32 bit nor in 64 bit, only in Windows Explorer. Had to mess a bit with the registry.

Full Screen Preview = F11
Open in Browser Shift + F11

Fresh installation

I always suffered the same problem and worked around using Explorer but I'm not sure it's XYplorer fault. This is the clipboard format, generated on the virtual machine, for a sample file XYplorer fails to paste in the VM after copying on the real machine, I don't know if it says something useful.
