Re: Folder View Settings Script
Is it just me?
Wouldn't it make more sense to "sortby m, d;" and have the top item selected automatically.
My brain must be wired differently as i never understood why the newest item should be at the bottom of any list.

Re: How to get "New file" items on the context menu?
You might not have discovered yet the advantages of XY's "New Items". You can not only have one blank Excel worksheet there but various different templates with identifying names to choose from. It even allows you to have folder structures sitting there (with or without files in it) which ...

Re: How to get "New file" items on the context menu?
For the first wish you might want to read up on "New Items" in the help file, for the second one just add the toolbar button "Command Prompt" to your toolbar to achieve this.

Re: Strange dates far in the future
Not with the usual tools as far as tested.
I found some old posts that something similar happened a few years back on Synology NAS's so the problem may lay there.
Still confused how WE manages to display something different though.
Will keep you posted.

Re: Strange dates far in the future
It would appear that Win Explorer does some trickery in its display. If I check the properties of one of these folders in both WE and XY (same shell dialog I guess) they both show the same wrong created date in 2421 but WE seems to adapt the display of the created column to match modified if it is a...

Strange dates far in the future
I suddenly saw strange date stamps on folders in XY (way in the future), so I went and timestamped these folders with a CFA that makes the created date identical to the modified but they still display as wrong. The same folders show proper dates in Win Explorer. PicPick_899.jpg The files reside on a...

Re: Drag drop from desktop to XY not working
Another possible cause for 2.:
Depending on your update behaviour, i.e. if you run the XY..._Install.exe as admin, you end up with an elevated instance of XY, which you then need to close and restart with normal privileges again.

Re: Search and Replace
If that is the case, we are rather looking at editors and not file managers IMO.
