Files copied from OneDrive do not maintain dates

"Preserve item dates" doesn't work with files that are copied from the OneDrive folder. The date is preserved if the files are cut, however.

Is there any way to maintain the original dates under a copy operation, or is this a quirk with Windows 10/OneDrive?

Renaming a file can result in an incorrect timestamp

There seems to be a bug where a renamed file will adopt the creation date of a deleted file that had the same name. For instance, let's say C:\ has two files named "Foxes" and "Foxes Two." When "Foxes" is deleted and "Foxes Two" is renamed to "Foxes,"...

Custom "Tasks" in Taskbar Menu?

https://images.techhive.com/images/article/2016/03/0407-pin-app-100650893-large.jpg I've been thinking about how convenient it'd be if the user could add program shortcuts and other "tasks" to the menu that pops up when you right click on XYPlorer in the taskbar. But is this even possible...

Generate video thumbnails using poster images from IMDb?

I am looking for a script that will scan the filename of a movie, pull the poster image from IMDb, and then embed that image as the file's thumbnail.

Can this even be done solely through scripting?

Keeping a program on top?

I think this is dependent on Windows settings, but is there a way to keep another program in focus after you click and hold a file in XYplorer (so it can be dragged into that program)? This is what I'm going through: 1. Open program using XYplorer catalog shortcut. 2. Program opens on top of XYplore...

Re: XYplorer hangs when displaying/generating video thumbnails

I managed to fix it by installing a third-party thumbnail generator, Media Preview. I'm not sure why the native Windows one stopped working, as I have never updated or altered the video codecs on my machine. One difference I have noticed is that I can no longer clear/reset my video thumbnails using ...

XYplorer hangs when displaying/generating video thumbnails

This issue has actually been discussed before. When generating certain video thumbnails, XYplorer becomes completely unresponsive. It has become so bad that I have had to kill the program using Task Manager on certain occasions. One solution proposed is turning off File Info Tips, but this isn't hel...

Thanks, but your script doesn't seem to do anything other than bring up a popup menu with those two lines of code. Maybe I'm doing it wrong...

How do you turn a right-click menu option into a toolbar button?

I have a program installed that lets you modify dates and times, which you initiate by right clicking on a file and selecting the "Change Attributes" option. What I want to do is turn this into a toolbar button, which would be quicker than having to right click and look for the command eve...

Re: Script that will find/display all .zip files in a direct

That definitely gives you all .zip files in a directory—but it won't let me select everything and unzip everything at once. Is that kind of thing even possible?

Script that will find/display all .zip files in a directory?

I'm not really sure where to start with this and could use some help. Basically, I need a quick way to find all .zip files within a directory so I can extract everything at once. I have tried using branch view and then filtering out the .zip files, but that takes a while. I used to be able to do thi...

Installation: Couldn't overwrite ContextMenu64.exe

I just updated my copy of XYplorer and ran into some error about the installation not being able to overwrite ContextMenu64.exe. Just curious if anyone else ran into something like that. I had XYplorer closed when I began the installation, so I'm not sure what happened. However, the upgrade to 16.90...
