Will utilize ALT+F4 to minimize XYplorer to tray. I then use ALT+X (via eventghost entry) to re-show Xyplorer. eventghost ... hmm... could that be the cause of the crashes? This problem has been plaguing me for some time now. Doesn't happen (obviously) in Explorer or Q-Dir. They are both able to open the files fine. Works perfectly and will avoid (hopefully) the crashing bug.

So 100 times closed with Alt + F4 while you didn't reassign the Alt + F4 shortcut in XYplorer before? Unlikely that that assignment is the cause for the crash... I had changed the assignment tl ALT+Z but then changed it back to ALT+F4 because of your request. Tested 100 times and it did not crash.

OK, just to confirm, you want me to re-assign ALT -F4 and open /close XY 50 times right now. Stand by

This was a bug report. Don said, maybe this is a coincidence with the internally assigned Alt + F4. So maybe you change the shortcut to something different, observe if you get the "bug" again when closing XY with Alt + F4 and then report back if this is the culprit? Hi highend, Thank you ...

(Edit: that's why I was looking for a hotkey to open and close Xyplorer to avoid this issue)

Happened again with relatively new settings; it happened when I closed XYplorer (Windows 10 64bit - all updated)

Why? The 32-bit menu has an entry for the 64-bit one. So yes, it's more effort to get the 64er in that case but you still have access to the XY entries...
