Re: My Network Places frustration
Thanks to admin & serendipity for quick responses (definately reduces the frustrastion level  ) So you did try to "Cache servers between sessions"? I did not try that config option. I'll try it and get back. You said you played with config options, did you try these too? I did p...

So you did try to "Cache servers between sessions"? If you only need a fixed subset of those 32,000 you should.

It should be just » by factory default... no, the board decided it wanted to do some silly formatting..... I created a txt file but the board won't let me attach it :( I even trie...

Is it generally uncommon to have Icon Overlays on network locations? In that case I would even default it to excluding them...

Re: Suffix Placement Incorrect For Folders
When adding a suffix XY treats folders just like files and attempts to place them before the file extension. Steps to reproduce: 1) Create a new folder. 2) Give the folder a name containing a period. ("A.B") 3) Use any of the File-> Copy Here with Suffix... methods on the new folder. This...

Re: XYplorer 7.70 presents
Thanks, but of course, being an artist myself, I suffer from severe narcism, ego-fixation, and hybris which makes it impossible for me to accept a design from a different person.

Re: Renaming file(s) to modification date
Create a new UDC Rename:
Caption: Append item's modified date and time
Pattern: *_<datem yyyymmdd>_<datem hhnnss>
Type: It's a Batch Rename pattern.
Assign a KS and you're done.

Re: Temporary change to sort order
Looking a bit more at folder view settings, I see that you can save a default as well as settings to apply to specific folders. It strikes me that another useful option would be to have "named" views, which could be applied (so I could save my favourite combinations of settings for reuse)...

I see your point, but the timing is bad. :) And it's partly your own fault. :P After spending most of the year on power user features like scripting and techno stuff like unicode support, I decided to waste the rest of the year on popular stuff for the common man ! This will include Dual Pane, tabw...

Re: Recognize periods as word breaks
No point starting another thread since this is directly related to using symbols as word breaks. Wish: Allow wildcard characters for Search & Replace, including within individual segments. Justification: Batch Rename templates and RegExp already accept wildcard characters, but support for Searc...

Re: Capitalization does more than it should
OK, I have unearthed a "hiccup" with the new renaming procedure + Rename Special: Added command "A* A*.*". I personally remember suggesting that the renaming procedure shouldn't look at any symbols after the first one in each segment but that appears to be premature. The problem...
