open command prompt here not working in certain locations
If I have desktop or My documents selected from the tree, the command prompt will not open. Also, if I select either one and then go to a subfolder and try again it still will not work. If I navigate to c:\documents and settings\username\desktop and then try it will work. I had reported this awhile ...

Re: XYplorer lags when entering UNC path
Try this, it helped me.
navigate to:
Tools / list management / servers in my network places
Once there, delete any reference to the servers or ip addresses you are having problems with and any that do not exist. Close and restart XY.
Does it still happen?

Error Modifying Shortcut Path
If I have 'Preview' or 'Raw Files' selected I get the following error if I try to change the target of a shortcut. 'Unable to save changes to 'shortcut path etc'. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. Not a big issue for me (maybe not even a bug?), just some...

Re: XYPlorer no longer runs.. not responding
I have had some issues very similar to what you are describing when connecting to a snap drive here at work. I can browse everything else without any issues but whenever I try to connect to it I experience a bad delay. Once connected, I can usually browse that folder normally but when I go into anot...

Re: Using customized command prompt from the toolbar
Or do you mean that it does pick up changes on your machine? Over here such changes are picked up when opening cmd prompt from XY... Same here. To see the difference you need to move around, my example below: If I am at c:\ - open the prompt, customize, save it - The next time I open a command prom...

Re: Global variables in scripting
Jacky concluded: My order of preference would be: 1. no name-specific but command global (PHP-like) 2. $_name 3. $g_name I was, until this convinced $g_name was a simple way forward but in line with good programming practice the explicit naming of scope makes identification easy and avoids potentia...

Re: Global variables in scripting
PS: I read through http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.variables.scope.php and my impression is that the PHP way leads to confusion here and there. Compared to this, my way of prefixing $g_ is clear and fool-proof as can be. And yes, I prefer to use $g_ instead of just $_. It's a touch more expli...

Re: Global variables in scripting
What about adding -scope or something similar to the definition? $name = "X" -scope global; //global var. $name = "X" -scope local; //local var. <-- default $name = "X" -scope private; //private var. maybe type would be better? $name = "X" -type global; //glob...

Re: browsing folders
This is actually a feature. It allows you to quickly (even using key repetition) move around files beginning with the same letter. Yeah I like that, I guess my point is that you can't get to a folder that starts with the same two letters like you can any other folder. It's only an issue for me in t...
