Double-click on whitespace launches app in 23.60.0010

With an executable file selected in 23.60.0010, if XYplorer is not focussed and you then double-click on whitespace in the list, the file is executed/launched.

Ctrl+Alt+M deselects currently selected file in 23.60.0010

Typing Ctrl+Alt+M to select all files with the extension of the currently-selected file causes the currently-selected file to become unselected. This is a very recent bug. I'm currently using 23.60.0010.

Re: Click rename behavior when giving focus back to XYplorer window

Just to add some further clarity to my previous post: Switching between Panes works perfectly and exactly as expected when the XYplorer application window already has focus. Action: Activate the unfocused Pane by clicking on whitespace Result: The selection is maintained Action: Activate the unfocus...

Re: Multiple selection in the List not working properly in 23.60.0009

Same issue. I can get more than 2 selected, but still can't select all the files I click on.

Re: Click rename behavior when giving focus back to XYplorer window

In case of shell context menus the menu is directly tied to the selection, it is determined by the selection. When the menu is shown I expect to be able to right-click another file to show its menu. So that right-click must be able to change the selection. And if a right-click can do that, the left...

Multiple selection in the List not working properly in 23.60.0009

In 23.60.0009, holding Ctrl and clicking multiple items in the List doesn't work reliably. Most times I can only get to about 2 items selected, and then further clicks on other files do nothing anymore. Same thing with holding Shift and trying to expand a selection. Something is very broken.

Re: Click rename behavior when giving focus back to XYplorer window

Agreed. It's not like that in File Explorer. Main menus and context menus are treated differently here. I know. File Explorer does several things differently. But it does them worse. Surely there is the opportunity to do things better in XYplorer. Already, several of the recent changes in XYplorer ...

Re: Click rename behavior when giving focus back to XYplorer window

An even better illustration of this problem is if you have multiple files selected, pop the context menu for them, change your mind, and then click on any of the files. Desired behavior would be to go back to having the files still selected. What happens in 23.60.0006 is that just the file you clic...

Re: Click rename behavior when giving focus back to XYplorer window

So clicking on white space should deselect all the selected files but clicking on one of the selected files should NOT deselect all the other files except the one you're clicking on (current behavior)? This is neither intuitive nor consistent... No, that is not what I said. I suggest re-reading the...

Re: Click rename behavior when giving focus back to XYplorer window

You still have at least 3 ways to close the menu but keep everything selected: 1) press Esc - works in many other situations when you change you mind 2) hold Ctrl (or Shift) and clik on white space 3) click on Window Title Bar / Breadcrumb Bar / Tab Bar / Status Bar / ... None of those are more int...

Re: Click rename behavior when giving focus back to XYplorer window

The problem now with 23.60.0006 is that if you change your mind about popping the context menu, and click on the filename, it starts an inline rename. I know that's what happens in File Explorer too, but it's not ideal. So, with 23.60.0006, after popping the context menu, you can either: (a) click i...

The problem reports for crashed processes, which say "Report sent"... where do they get sent to? Does Microsoft share the crash dumps with developers?

Re: How can I change the save interval of Tags.Dat?

There's a setting you can use to make tag.dat automatically save whenever any change is made:

Configuration | General | Startup & Exit | Save Settings | [x] Save changes to disk immediately

Click 'Apply To' and selects 'Tags'
