Re: My whole system is lagging

To verify that a recent version causes your problem (which I don't think is the case) please download an older version from the freezer and run it with your current configuration. Or have you done that already? No, I haven't done this yet. I will do as you suggested, no problem. Give me a couple da...

My whole system is lagging

Recently I noticed XPplorer was taking too long to start and I also noticed there was a long delay after performing certain file operations, like delete. My entire computer would be completely unresponsive for up to twenty seconds or so during these lags. I updated to the latest official version in ...

Re: Text Editors

I use EditPad Pro. I love it and the fact that Jan is billed as on of the top Regex Guru's is a plus, as he includes a nice Regex tutorial in the program's User's Guide.

Re: Very happy new convert!

Nothing tux. Sorry, I completely misinterpreted the posts! If you look at them, they can be taken differently than what they mean, at first glance. I usually refrain myself from commenting on posts, I should have stuck to that. Again, my apologies. I have removed the links, but left the post so othe...

May I suggest http:// LINK REMOVED

Or for general research and to cover it all: http:// LINK REMOVED

Why create an issue where there is none?

Re: From the Beginning (a running review)

Just because XY may be easy to learn, it's also nice to know how some newer users feel about certain features...and you've got a good way of describing your experiences so I really do hope that you continue making occasional posts here about how some of the more unusual or lesser known features of ...

Re: From the Beginning (a running review)

From the Beginning - Review (Continued) The Less Frequent, the Better More Understood Those of you following my reviews have undoubtedly noticed they are becoming less frequent. I see this as a good thing! What this means to me is that much of XYplorer's features are very intuitive and don't requir...

Re: Very happy new convert!

Anton, just wait - you are going to love it even more; the longer you use it, the more you will love it. I too came from a long relationship with a mediocre file manager (see my "From the Beginning (a running review)" series of posts in this forum and you can follow my discovery of XYplore...

Re: File and Directory List Error - One Solution

Distinguishing a dbl-click from 2 clicks is only possible at the price of waiting the system-wide configured dbl-click time. You can witness the feeling when single-clicking the statusbar. It feels slow, sticky, buggy. Let's leave the user errors with the user this time. Not a problem Don, that sho...

Re: File and Directory List Error - One Solution

The question is: What is an accidental double-click? I'd rather assume my users mean a double-click when they make one. I think everyone else pretty much hit on it, but I want to put my two cents in... My suggestion would be to do something like the following: When you get a double-click message on...

File and Directory List Error - One Solution

I have seen many File and or Tree Panel list display errors reported. Not long after I started using XYplorer, I began to have the same problem. The symptoms are as follows: The File Panel file list is, at times, only partially complete (files are missing from the panel's file list) The Tree Panel l...

Re: Free Giveaway

Thanks JC! I had a feeling there was a thread, but I couldn't find it or I overlooked it. I love the amount of information here, but sometimes it can be difficult to wade through. It is a good promotion, though - great advertisement. Believe it or not, my father was down visiting and asked me which ...
