Re: SharedTags.dat wiped clean
Well luckily I found that my machine at home had a month-old "SharedTags.dat" that I was able to bring to work and save most of our data. I will from now on create a daily backup of that file named "SharedTags.bak." Could this backup be implemented into the "Settings Special...

SharedTags.dat wiped clean
So somewhere during the last few updates, I don't know, my SharedTags.dat was completely reset. All data over the last year or so wiped clean, including the names of the five Extra columns I had and all data that was in the Comment column. A lot of that was critical data:( Does anyone know what coul...

Extremely slow JPG preview over the network
Hi. I'm experiencing incredibly slow times on previewng JPG files on my network in the latest XYplorer (20.60.0200). I mean, in my preview window that I have open on the right side of my screen, and let's say I have a network folder in the 1st pane that has six JPG files in it, response times to acc...

Re: Shared Tag File Size, 2nd try
Ahh... Yes! there's someone alive out there! Thank you, RalphM. Testing it out is a good idea. Up until now I have just been very conservative with the comment tags that I add to my files... and during the writing of this sentence I just thought of my next question to post. But anyway I will try tha...

Shared Tag File Size, 2nd try
Well I asked this question a while back and there was no response so I'm trying again because I would really like to know this : "Ok so now that we're running XY with the the auto-refreshing shared tag database, and thank you - it works wonderfully, is there any potential that the shared tag da...

Shared Tag File Size
Ok so now that we're running XY with the the auto-refreshing shared tag database, and thank you - it works wonderfully, is there any potential that the shared file will become so big and cumbersome that it will start to affect XY's performance? I mean, what are the limitations? What if I wanted all ...

Searching for Extra Tags
Wonderful that I was pointed to the fabulous feature of Extra Tags, and that more Extra Tags were added. Thank you! Now about searching for them... Since I don't have regular tags on any of the files on my system because I am managing multiple users and we are sharing a common tag database that is o...

ADP Command Line Switch Broken?
I've been trying to use the command line switch "Setting the Application Data Path (ADP)," but it doesn't seem to be working properly. XYplorer.exe /ini=C:\Manf\Manf Admin\XY Data\XYplorer.ini The Directory and file does exists, but upon execution I get the trial version splash screen. But...

Re: Custom Columns, Tags Labels....
Yes! This is exactly what I intended. It is important that I make the system easier to use for the not-so computery guys. Being able to add the machine attribute to the file on the fly is perfect. I also made a "Material" column using the same method. As you can see I don't use the tree, s...

Re: Custom Columns, Tags Labels....
So I tried your suggestion, I think I may have the wrong grammar in my script:
return tagitems("tags",HAAS VF-3 , <cc_item>);
whereas HAAS VF-3 is the machine.
return tagitems("tags",HAAS VF-3 , <cc_item>);
whereas HAAS VF-3 is the machine.
