Actually 1000s makes more sense for hard-drive sizes, because *humans* are based on 10s, not 2s! Really, do you know how many megabytes in 23 gibibytes? Especially today, when hard-drive space is so cheap. Consumers don't need to think in awkward powers of 2, only developers should need to. Also, &q...

What is a kilobyte/megabyte/gigabyte?
Is XYplorer the same as Explorer in reporting sizes? Is a kilobyte 2^10 bytes, as per the original meaning of the word, or 10^3 bytes, as per the telecomms SI unit also used by hard-drive manufacturers? The answer should be in the help.

! Address Bar and Catalog now support the file:/// protocol. I have these files executed by the Shell, so http[s]:// URLs are opened by your default browser whereas file:/// URLs are opened by the associated application.

file protocol unsupported
Steps to reproduce 1. Create a new catalog item pointing to some file on your local computer, but use a URL instead of a Windows file address (ie. start with file:/// and use forward slashes instead of backslashes). Actual results: XYplorer says "Couldn't find path or file..." Expected res...

I can't see a way to drag an item into the catalog. Seems like a natural thing to do. Dragging an item onto a category heading should add it to the catalog under that category. Or even better, that little arrow that you get when changing the order of category items could appear, so you can choose wh...

It would be a little weird, but will that weirdness hurt usability? If the button is subtle it shouldn't be any worse than without, so long as there is another way to open the catalog. Opening the catalog isn't a particularly scary action if the user experiments. And to be even nicer, the icon could...
