Re: Cloud functionality
Likely to need to move from one laptop to another in the not too distant future, so this ability to just "pull" the configuration (to include MRUs, history and the like) from the cloud would come in nicely.

Re: Like a new feature? Say thanks here
This was a subject of some heated debate back in the day -- especially by yours truly -- but I am glad to have belatedly discovered that this was added about a year ago  v15.90.0014 - 2015-11-07 13:01 + Configuration | Startup & Exit: Added option "Autosave settings after this many min...

Re: Self update
Not sure. I personally would find this quite annoying. What do others think? You would get a popup on every startup until you finally opt to upgrade... As someone who rarely relaunches XY -- only when updating, frozen, restarting the machine -- I would prefer for XY to both periodically poll for up...

Re: Minor scripting related wishes (a generic thread)
I think it's easy. He simply want's the popup window to have a variable width, instead of the fixed with like it is now. So the window show's the complete item text, and not ... Exactly! At the moment, the width is fixed so certain directory names that are longer are truncated with "..."....

Re: Minor scripting related wishes (a generic thread)
Come on, show the code. I'm tired of guessing... There is no rocket science to it, just a series of one-per-line moveto() commands pointing to different folders that are children to the current location. No indentation, so triggering the UDC shows each separate line to allow move to the desi...

Here you go...I would like for the menu to be dynamic in terms of width and display the full paths that are currently truncatedadmin wrote:Got a screenshot of what you mean? Not sure what menu you are talking about.

Re: Minor scripting related wishes (a generic thread)
Where the displayed SC is truncated by the width of the menu that is shown -- for example, where moveto() paths are quite long and exceed the boundary -- being able to see the whole path on mouseover of that SC would be quite useful. Thanks. Agreed but not possible. Would it be possible to enable f...

Batch folder creation
On a semi-frequent basis, I have a need to create a bunch of child folders that follow the following structure: "<BlahBlahBlah> ##" (where ## is a series of sequential numbers). Currently, I have to create each folder one at a time. What would be great to shortcut the process is for Edit >...

Re: Better update system
Ugh. I hate updating that is not under my control. I can't count the number of times I've updated software, only to have something that was previously working now be broken. Then I have to go fix it--I call this "Tech Trash Time", time spent fixing something I shouldn't have to. Note that...

Re: Better update system
I agree, but alas, my current installer does not support this. I'd recommend you turn off Configuration | Startup & Exit | Check for updates on startup and do it actively when you have time for an update: Help | Online Support | Check for Updates As an alternative there are several scripts here...

Re: Freezing during drive spin-up
For the record, the need for this (spin-off of individual tabs into their separate processes) has not gone away and, in fact, increased due to having a greater number of simultaneously-connected external USB drives via a hub.
