Re: Synchronize 2 folders
- Allow sync to multiple destinations simultaneously (1 source, 2+ destinations) Possible via scripting. Not simultaneously, but one after the other. Why can't these not be run in parallel? Sample use case: sync a folder on my laptop's internal drive with 2 separate external ones. My internal SSD c...

Re: Synchronize 2 folders
For folder sync, I have 3 wishes at the moment: - Allow skipping of name collisions (and do so by default unless chosen otherwise) - Allow sync to multiple destinations simultaneously (1 source, 2+ destinations) - Allow favourites in context menu, so I can right-click a folder and choose Sync > <lis...

Re: Where is all the good stuff?
I already have scripts for a bunch of stuff. But scripts shouldn't be used as a substitute for a properly designed and implemented product feature.

Re: Where is all the good stuff?
I was not kidding. I am not the kind of person who looks at a new thing that is introduced/improved and thinks to oneself "how can I adapt X to improve what I do?". This approach leads one to create imaginary problems for oneself and then try to shoehorn solutions. Like I said, I am happy ...

Where is all the good stuff?
I am keen to know when we are going to get the good stuff like folder sync and custom event actions. I have clicked back through releases and the last version that had a feature added that I actually use is 16.7 with pizza button for folder sizes. Now I know that not everyone will like and use every...

Re: Sorting by Size
Fair enough. My workflows, when it comes to sorting by size, keep and treat folders and files separately.LittleBiG wrote:It was the same for me before for a long time. But I have been using folders and files mixed for more than 2 years now.zer0 wrote:I don't. For me, folders should always be at the top of the list.

Re: Better update system
By the way of some feedback, it does irk me that the update process does not re-launch XY automatically. Since I had it running when I kicked off the update system, I expect it to return to the original state.

@ zer0 I'd suggest having a look at https://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=16595&p=143303&hilit=scheduler#p143303 It can easily be adapted to what your suggesting. Any probs ,will only be too happy to help. Appreciate it, but I suggest having a look at this: https://www.xyplo...

Re: WTF! Malwarebytes TRASHED Xyplorer as RANSOMWARE!
With malware spreading like STDs during Spring Break, I am never against having protection. But just like you should protect yourself from the big bad wolves out there, one should be covered in terms of threats from within: false positives, hardware failures, etc. Wouldn't it be nice if XY backed up...

False positives happen. The most appropriate mitigation strategy is to have regular backups so that you can recover to a desired point in time.

Re: Lost selection during copying
Haven't tried it -- not a fan of how XYcopy handles copies to USB drives -- but struggling to see how choice of a copy handler could affect the selection, especially since TC just accepts a list of files XY wants it to copy.highend wrote:And the same issue occurs when XY's internal copy handler is used?

Lost selection during copying
Something mysterious is causing loss of selection in an inactive tab. Basically, I do this: 1) Go to a tab, select some folders, click on another tab in the same pane and copy them over using TeraCopy. 2) At some point during this process, the original tab (source) loses selection of those folders f...
