Re: Type Ahead Find needs slow down

File list Art Abe Bear Beast Cobet If I search for Be, it should first search for bear then beast, this would be followed by cobet and abe. (this will give functionality of both 2 & 3) Currently, if i search for B, it finds Bear and then Beast. But if I search for be it find abe, bear, beast and...

Re: Tiles View

I was a Tiles user, XY made me move to Details view. The reason I preferred Tiles view is it gave more selection area. The added detail will definitely be useful. I have had to spend some unnecessary click just to see that information at times. And that can be set to factory default at show age, irr...

It also helps the selection stand out.

Re: Tiles View

Congrats Don on getting this done. The 4th line looks a little weird. The icon ends but the rows don't. I did rather turn it off or use it for showing tags instead to make them stand out. Ah yes, you are probably on Win7 or so. I tested it only on XP using Tahoma. Segoe UI is much higher so it star...

Re: more sensitive mini tree....

Tip: CTRL+"minus-Symbol" will close a node for good. Next time you click the "plus-Symbol" the node will expand to show ALL subfolders. I did this and now the node expands to show all the subfolders. Even, if click on the minus symbol, without holding the Ctrl key. The plus symb...

Re: more sensitive mini tree....

Nice tip. And Ctrl+Click while expanding the folder expands the sub-folders as well.

But since doing Ctrl+Click while clicking on the minus sign, the click on plus sign always shows all first level sub-folders inside it. How to turn it off.

Re: Additional Default Column Layouts

Don, If the two fools rule doesn't apply here, I have an idea that would help me achieve this through Folder Views. If FV can support a modifier _%DPV% for dual pane vertical mode and _%DPH% for dual pane horizontal and single pane. No modifier implies that same layout be used for DP Horizontal, Ver...

Re: Double clicking on "new tab" button creates 3 new tabs

Can you try using another mouse.

I have had issues with false double clicks earlier (not on XY, but in MS Excel where the crosshair towards bottom right of the cell didn't work)

Re: Type Ahead Find: First match beginning, then match anywh

That would kill TAFMatchAnywhere=2 for me. It's fine to have the option to jump to files by first letter, but it's more important for me to cycle all files with "snake" somewhere in the name when I type "snake", and not get stuck with that one file that happens to start with &qu...

Sorry, my mistake.

I interpreted ?* as the wildcards. The pattern shouted out loud when I created the folder structure provided in the example.

Re: See Contents Of Many Folders

You could do a multi location search, and store it in a locked search tab. For example enter this into the Address Bar and press Enter. It will show the contents of E:\Test_A\ and E:\Test_B\ in one list. E:\Test_A\;E:\Test_B\?* (of course, use folders that exist on your system) Is this broken now. ...

Re: ZIP Support (so I can finally retire "PowerDersk Pro")

7z is completely different from zip format.

You many want to try that with docx or xlsx which use the zip container.
