Re: Dual Pane - Formal Proposal Thread

Just had a look at Ale's latest idea - not bad at all :) - only slight worry is that it will cause the list (files) to shift down slightly (even if only by a pixel or two). With all these pane highlighting ideas my one slight concern is that there is no shifting of other interface elements to accom...

Re: Dual Pane - Formal Proposal Thread

If we explore other ideas/positions? please look for example something like this :P http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/6504/highlight007x.png and would work also for people without tabs http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/1484/highlight008.png it might be customizable as requested http://img189.image...

Re: Dual Pane - Formal Proposal Thread

Experimenting with the line, this is how it might look with Don suggestion, second shot would surely need more tweaking but it's just to give an idea and I'm a bit lazy drawing pixel perfect graphics :)

Re: Dual Pane Bugs

I will try a less silly observation...
In part is already reported, anyway if we have the same tab open in both panes and we create, rename ecc... files in a pane, then if we activate the other pane, the list is not refreshed. It's not refreshed also if we turn off and then again on dual pane (F10)

Re: Dual Pane Bugs

Small question so I won't open a dedicated topic

Search tab is locked after performing a search. Is this intended behaviour maybe related to recent and dual pane changes or a bug?

Re: A BIG problem-someone pls help me :(

Hello arindamc welcome to the forum, I'm sorry you didn't receive your license yet, but I can think one million reasons why a person can't answer or have to take a break from work and so on, so IMHO it's better not talk too much or put too much pressure on Don. And after all I think we all know real...

Re: Script to find orphan xmp files

I'm sorry you didn't receive answers yet, maybe as a starting point you can try something like this, but keep in mind I'm not expert like other users and I wrote this right now without much thinking and testing sortby; selfilter "*.cr2|*.xmp"; $list = report("{Name}<crlf>", 1); regexreplace $filtere...

Re: Drag n Drop not working

Sometimes I like to create a text file with some information about a file I downloaded and I use this method: I have an item in the catalog whick looks like this (you need Quick scripting option enabled in Advanced configuration to make it work) ::writefile("<curbase>.txt", "<clipboard>"); Then I ca...

Re: A way to hide only some hidden files

I don't have this need but we might call attrib with the hstart tool to change attributes and avoid a console window. Something like this to make an example

Code: Select all

run "<curpath>\hstart.exe /NOCONSOLE ""C:\WINDOWS\system32\attrib.exe +R <curpath>\test.txt""";

Re: Script to convert between text formats

1. you can't use <curbase>. you have to specify the whole path, and <curbase> only gives the file name without path or extension, so "<curitem>" (without .nfo) is the best choice for readfile. it works on writefile as well, but the name of the converted file will be "file.nfo.txt". that's why i use...

Re: Script to convert between text formats

Thanks to both of you. While your code does write a text file, it does not do the same kind of conversion. When opened in Notepad the formatting that I would achieve if I was to open the original NFO in Wordpad and save as TXT file does not show in the converted file. I've attached the file in ques...

Re: Script to convert between text formats

As a total beginner to scripting I was writing this too to learn, and had this line of code :)

Code: Select all

$filedata = readfile("<curbase>.nfo"); writefile("<curbase>.txt", $filedata);
or

Code: Select all

$filedata = readfile("<curbase>.nfo"); writefile("<curbase>.txt", $filedata, , tu);
to convert to Unicode

Re: How to specify a search criteria for a word in a title

I guess you're writing this expression in the address bar, may you try something like this? C:\My Documents\?:>"\blent\b" & .doc I'll try to explain the meaning breaking the expression in pieces ?: says we want to make a search (? character) and activates boolean mode (: character) The & in the midd...

Re: Shrinking Tree Pane

I looked into my XYplorer.ini and I think catalog height is held in "CatalogHeightSet" variable there's also CatalogHeight, they have the same value in my .ini file. I'm not sure of the difference but if I resize the tree, save the configuration and look again in XYplorer.ini, they again have the sa...

Re: Closing Info Panel

The exact option is: "Configuration" > "General" > "Click on status bar toggles info panel" wich is disabled in a default configuration. It's absolutely the first thing I change :)

When the option is enabled you can show and hide the info panel with a left mouse click on the status bar
