Okay, so I spent a while trying to get this to work. With the icon in the tray it became more difficult to activate it correctly. You can bring the window back with just WinShow, but it breaks XY since the icon remains and it is still waiting for you to bring it out of the tray even though the windo...

Having those choices as context menu would give greatest flexability for mouse user...but how would one best access it via keyboard only? Not sure. That's why I have that concern about accessing the menu via keyboard. It's no problem once the menu is displayed, but how can you display it. I imagine...

Custom Status Bar

It would be really awesome if we were able to fully customize what information the status bar shows, and I think that should be added to the roadmap. However, that's a big change so put it at or near the end and let us consider something a bit less involved for the nearer future. My drive for sugges...

It might not make sense in this context, but "..." is normally used to browse like you see next to location field in find files tab. What about "LM"? I've seen "..." used for both browsing and for opening a larger edit field (which I see the LM editor as), which is why...

On the other hand maybe ctrl+del to remove entry directly and simple delete to empty field is also OK. I mean why should i go to LM if i have to delete just one or two entries? To be frank I dont use LM so much because I dont care too much about the history... I see no problem with having a hotkey ...

Thanks! However, it'd be easier if I could just use the DEL key in the list itself, as it's implemented in all other programs. The problem with this is how do you distinguish between wanting to empty the box for new input and completely removing the history item. I've seen this same thing dealt wit...

It's been awhile since I've used this so I might be forgetting part of it, but you should also be able to use "subst" on the command line to link the path to a virtual drive letter. Then you can access the files with that drive letter and the path will be short enough to delete them.

I really think you should consider making use of the menu bar as I suggested. XYplorer could be the first app to have a decent tipping feature instead of being another app with another annoying dialog. :P

and there are tips that I may find useful for areas of XY that jacky knows better than me, and another user may find my tip similarly useful... This shows how useful it is for tips to passed around. But then, even though I have been around since 2 yrs now, i keep forgeting some tips in XY. For us u...

I think the idea here is to exchange those usertips via forum or mail. Else why would I need a tip of the day if I just created it. I just don't see the point in this. The people who are going to trade them are, for the most part, the people who need them least. Same with the people who know about ...

The pop up looks good but I have two (relatively small) complaints: 1) It shouldn't be modal. New users will better learn the tips if they can try them while reading them. 2) There needs to be more of a difference between the background and h1 font colors. As it is now I can barely make out the &quo...

In the meantime I rewrote the tabs tooltips... they'll have a shadow now, but did it fix the DM issue? Who knows? You'll know! You'll tell me... Yep, Tabs tooltip are now on the right place! You now have to fix all the other ones TheQwerty mentioned ;) That's one down and frankly the most annoying ...

Re: Offtopic

I'm totally surprised that they show only thumbnails of such products! How am I supposed to judge a visual effect from a thumbnail...? That sure is annoying, and their official sites aren't better. There's an okay picture on the Colorful Tabs wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorfu...

Re: Offtopic

I suppose you can also color the FF tabs? If yes: do they keep that special shading effect through the colors? I'm not really sure. By default I think your only options are using a custom chrome to redefine the style, and I don't know just how much control that gives you (it might just be active, i...
