Floating Preview: Image lost when zooming after parent folder rename
[Using 18.90.0100] This issue has been around for a while - I only just now got around to reporting it. I think I raised it a long time back and it was fixed, but the problem reappeared sometime since. 1. Run Floating Preview on an image. 2. Go back into the list in the main window, navigate up to t...

Re: Toolbar font setting not getting applied
Just to confirm, you realize that setting is not for the tooltips, it is for when you have toolbar captions enabled. More info: https://www.xyplorer.com/release_18.90.php#TFS Oh, right. I missed that. Thanks. I don't normally use the captions feature. So I guess it's not taking in the dialog becaus...

Toolbar font setting not getting applied
[Using 18.90.0100]
Tried using the new font setting feature for Toolbar tooltips, but whenever I change the font and/or size, the selection is not appearing in the settings panel and not getting applied to the interface after dismissing the settings dialog. Confirmed the problem running /fresh.

Open Throw Away Clone!
Love it. Nice simple solution to running separate instances of XYplorer for long-running searches.

Re: show This PC in breadcrumb bar
You can click on that first right arrow and it will drop down the list of drives with This PC at the top. Almost as good.

- Pressing Back will remove the last character of the current filter.
- Pressing ESC will remove the filter and the box if there is any.
b) The focus will stay in the List all the time.

Re: WinRAR and Drag'n'Drop behaviour
What about dragging files into Zips? I use WinRAR for both zip and rar files and WinRAR is the default program for the zip extension. But dragging stuff into a zip gives me the Shell Drop Failed error.

You must be referring to regular expression searches, otherwise this statement is absurd. The basic Everything search is instantaneous.lian00 wrote:I use the script but Everything is much slower than Ultrasearch/

Re: If I multi-task sometimes XYplorer remains minimised.
What do you mean exactly? For example, you can't restore the XY window from its minimized state by clicking on the taskbar icon? Or XY is your default file manager and when you go to a folder from some other place, you don't see XY restoring itself to show the location? Etc.

Re: Version 17.60 stops working
Actually, he has... I just installed XYplorer version 17.60 on my new installed of Windows 10 Home 64bit on my new ACER laptop. It stops working when I go to Tools> Customize Toolbar No he has not. His statement only says it occurs when he goes into Toolbar Customization, not specifically whether t...

Re: Version 17.60 stops working
@davidhelp: You have STILL not precisely confirmed whether you have the problem BEFORE or AFTER doing any toolbar customization on either a brand new install (without anything copied over from other PC) or with XYplorer /fresh. Don't leave it for people to assume any part of what you are doing.

I enthusiastically add my vote for optional LFB as the default instead of Type Ahead Find, as I first requested last month back in this post here.

Re: Version 17.60 stops working
Don't think those older crash reports from google search are useful. The program undergoes improvement and maintenance continually and frequently, and some serious problems like this popup from time to time, but are usually only relevant for a short period of time. The data directory refers to the u...

Re: How to search/filter with double-quoted strings?
Double-quoted patterns mean "exact match" (pattern is not auto-wrapped in wildcards). The omission of implicit flanking wildcards is a non-standard restriction on the usual understanding of double-quoted string search, in my experience. File Explorer doesn't do this, for just one example,...
