Re: File jump is not selected by default

Re: Licensing - multiple computers
XYplorer has a liberating license: "It is valid for all of the user’s computers and never expires."
the license is valid on all of your computers as long as you're the only user.
There are no IP restrictions.
But Don (the main developer) should confirm.

Re: Thumb-gen progress counter adjustment
I'm not getting these alternating status messages, also not in fresh. What are your thumbnail settings, or what do you do to get them? Create all thumbnails at once: enabled. I went to a folder with a sufficient amount of photos, then while the thumbnails were getting created, just press+held on th...

Re: Customize the way mouse down blow up display long vertical images
Actually, the method I've described -- click the part you want to preview -- works in preview pane and info pane as well, so this only needs to be somehow implemented for non-thumbnail viewmodes only.

Re: program closes went starting config
it doesn't phone home to figure out that you are downgrading; that information is contained within the configuration files.
Everything should work fine after you click away the downgrade notice, if the license is not fake. So, good luck.

Re: Custom/Portable File Icons and .ico extension
Hey autocart, I would like to use the icon file as its own file icon in a portable file icons definition in order to be able to use this also in a portable "installation" of XY so that it does not matter what settings the target system has. In my own system, everything is ok. I think you'r...

Re: Reasons for using xycopy?
Actually XY can copy those metadata without xycopy, as long as the copy operation is initiated within XY. Just having Configuration > Information > Tags > Copy tags on copy operations enabled is sufficient. The impetus for XYcopy is explained here (from history.txt): v8.90.0003 - 2010-03-14 18:35 ++...

Re: xycopy forking useless
can't reproduce. This would be a pretty weird behavior since the whole point of having xycopy as a separate process is so that XYplorer doesn't get blocked during file operations.
Review your custom copy options at Tools > Configuration > File Operations.
