Re: Full support for context menu items on x64 systems
While that's true, that some applications use DLLs as context menu handlers (and not only on 64 bits), you can often call application directly with parameter(s). Only sometimes, and often with a loss in either speed or functionality. That makes this an unacceptable workaround. Oh, in a pinch, someo...

Re: Full support for context menu items on x64 systems
You can convert context menu items to PFA (Portable File Associations). I don't use context menu at all, since I did so and it gives you much more control. I don't have 64-bit system, but it should work (and it may stay working even after reinstalling the system or switching to another installed sy...

Re: Full support for context menu items on x64 systems
Yes, such as in http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4248 -- have you looked at that thread? I did, but suggesting a workaround of installing the 32 bit version of an app, instead of the 64 bit version is - forgive me - laughable. Imagine Microsoft telling people that they need to i...

Full support for context menu items on x64 systems
I know it's been touched upon here, but I find myself having more and more apps that I interact with by context menu, that I have to load Windows Explorer for because XY can't do it. I'm not used to having to shelve XY in favor of Windows Explorer, and I'm having to do that more and more often. So, ...

Re: Please put the submenus back under the View Menu
Uhm, yes... ... I meant other opinions. I took your comment to mean that you wanted to hear opinions of additional people. In any case, people's opinions on this is either going to be that they think it's a good idea, or they think it's a poor one. There's not much more variety. :) And...

I don't understand. I thought you wanted to hear more opinions?

Re: Please put the submenus back under the View Menu
Is *that* where the damned things went? I upgraded XY a few days ago, and when I couldn't find the settings where they belonged, I figured that XY was broken. I just didn't have the time to look into it further. They definitely belong under the View menu. Where they are now just doesn't make any sen...

Re: Opinion on the License Lounge
Nevertheless I see that may users have an irrational feeling of risk when they enter a key into a form and I have to do something about that. What about the old idea of entering the LL directly from the app with a single click (passing the key in an encrypted string to the website). Does it invoke ...

Ok...I'm not the moderator here but I'm also not used to seeing such conflict here...we try to get along and we do quite well normally, so I'd suggest that both Uagadugu and Demset take a breather before it gets too much like other forums...we don't want any flame wars here, ok? Yes, the posts have...

LOL, it is you who should relax, my friend. No one cares about your opinion of me. The thread title is "Dual Trees :)" and the admin already gave what I believe was a most satisfactory response, and the only one that truly matters here, actually. If you still have a comment you wish to ma...

LOL, it is you who are foolish, my friend. I have been following this DP story most intently for almost three years now. That actually speaks worse of your original comments, not better. I am well aware of Mesh's efforts. I was also here for Mesh's prior unsuccessful push as well. So, it doesn't co...

Re: Dual Trees :)
Someone should start a "Formal DT Proposal Thread". Your comment makes you look foolish, as it makes it quite obvious how unfamiliar you are with the history which you reference. If you have something relevant to say, I for one would be happy to hear it. Otherwise, commentary like ...

I'd like the ability to choose both, by dragging to resize the way you can do with most windows - but yes, it's primarily the height that's the issue.

Oops!
Sorry, didn't mean to double post. Reading that other thread, it looks like the feature was put on hold for the time being. I guess I'll just make this another vote to renew it at Don's convenience.

Drag to resize the rename preview window
Recently, I found myself having to do a lot of renaming jobs. Each directory I worked in had hundreds of files, but when I went to rename them - using regex rename, if it matters (it's so great that you support regex, by the way!), the preview window was way too small, and I couldn't resize it. Is t...
