Re: Live Filter
at least for me, a person who has been managing files since Radio Shack Tandy TRS-80 in 1980. Opps did i just show my age. I bought a Model I back about that time! Was $800 for the 16K unit, $300 for the Expansion Interface (for the extra RAM slots and floppy drive controller), and $500 for a singl...

Re: Website and Help Typos
There are many more topics written than listed in the FAQ. I want to keep the list tight. It's really the MFAQ (Most-FAQ). But without any sort of URL being there, those other topics are essentially not findable other than by posting here or maybe a forum search -so- maybe as compromise, have a new...

Re: Powerful internal file viewer
FYI, XYplorer works nicely with Quick View Plus: http://www.xyplorer.com/faq-topic.php?id=QVP I'll make a note in that FAQ page, You might also want to have a link to that QVP page from the main FAQ page as there isn't one now and thus the QVP page is somewhat hidden/invisible...like from the menti...

Re: Using Tag system -Question
Hi and welcome to the XY forums! I'm sorry that I don't have an answer to your questions and a bit disapointed that our other regular members have not tried to assist so posting this just to bump thread in hopes others may see it now and respond, ok? It's highly unusual that a new user's first time ...

Re: Enhancement to show folder size.
You guys are really sporting an attitude these days. It's a BUG and a WISH, hence the reference in the BUG section. No attitude other than trying to keep forum tidy...and IF XY was supported by a large multi-person corporation/company, maybe each sub forum would be handled by different people/group...

Re: Enhancement to show folder size.
One thread for the issue is more than sufficient, ok? No need to duplicate it in Bugs + Wishes as Don reads ALL.
Since this thread has replies by others, it might be the best survivor...as you can still delete the other one until it gets a response.

Re: Customize tiles view
Also would like to hide the file date, time and version. So you don't find the extra info useful? That's what makes XY display better because it does show this... The file name is too short and can't be read for files with long names! You can always hover over it to see rest of info and taking that...

Re: PatternCopy - July 5th, 2014
Guiltily I was going to do that but I was actually curious to how many people will be downloading it and you only get a counter if you attach it as a file. And that's a good reason to have as file -but- some may want to read it only so having code here (if not extremely long) with a small...

Re: PatternCopy - July 5th, 2014
Having the script as a downloadable attachment is fine and best way to avoid errors but if it's not too long, having a copy that can be read here directly can be an aid to those who are wanting to review something first or looking for coding ideas...just a thought to consider. Can be posted with a s...

...In fact in general I wish XYplorer looked as Cubic Explorer and also had all the visual customizations that Cubic has. ... for a file manager that looks like CubicExplorer, you'd better use CubicExplorer... :) Cubic explorer doesn't look like that. MY version of it does, others differ greatly. I...

Re: Without the option "Use generic icons" absolutely unusab
 This is ridiculous: Disabling Windows Defender & MSE for the tool that is accessing the file system most frequently and so where you are exposed to the risks of infected files at most. This is like having the airbags of a car disabled as soon as it starts driving. I don't use either of ...

Re: Some yellow highlighted files and folders...
Hi and welcome! It's been way too long since I used a "fresh" install but have a recollection that there are a couple of setting by default that show certain folders/files that way to introduce some XY features to new users...but can't recall what those are... Colors in the tree are also b...
