If you are familiar with Autohotkey you may want to look at this:

2 of 3 "not previewable" files are encoded using Xing MP3 encoder. Can't tell why they don't play in XYplorer preview though. They successfully play in foobar2000 and MPC-HC players.
They also play when using XY preview pane.

EDIT: Strange but it doesn't work for Hover Box...

Check "Paste to selected list folder (Controls & More - Miscellaneous)" in settings.

There are at least two programs that do this system-wide: ScrollNavigator (highly configurable) and MouseImp PRO (seems to be abandoned).

I don't use Winamp, I use MPC-HC instead. When selecting multiple mp3's in XY both ways you described they play after each other in correct order in MPC-HC.

This can be done also without scripting.
Sort your files chronologically and select them.
Then File>Rename Special>Edit Item Names... and paste text file contents to the box. Rename.
After that: File>Rename Special>Set Extension... mp4.

I can see webp thumbnails and previews in XY after I installed WebP Codec 0.19.9

You don't have to create new tabset for that, you need to save your current one. Tabsets > Save As...

I get this error on v20.20.0005 when trying to run fresh; profile from the Address Bar. It didn't happen (and doesn't if downgrading) on .0004. Can anyone confirm?

I get the same error in all browsers.
