Re: Startup delay when mapped network drive unavailable
I turned off the Minitree and made the startup tab default to C:/ and still no difference. This was the loadtimes: XY ver: XYplorer 22.70.0100 OS: Windows 10 Windows 10, 64-bit, Release 2009, Build 19044.1466 Loaded: 2022-01-21 21:30:41 in 21,668 ms Threshold: 10 ms 0 ms: 134 ms - Start Load 143 ms:...

Re: Startup delay when mapped network drive unavailable
Thanks, I already had that setting disabled too though. These are the results for the <get loadtimes>: With network drive available: XY ver: XYplorer 22.70.0100 OS: Windows 10 Windows 10, 64-bit, Release 2009, Build 19044.1466 Loaded: 2022-01-21 08:16:44 in 915 ms Threshold: 10 ms 0 ms: 161 ms - Sta...

Re: Startup delay when mapped network drive unavailable
Thanks, I saw those ones already and had them ticked. Still doesn't help if the drive is down.

Startup delay when mapped network drive unavailable
I've just bought an Nvidia Shield and set it up today so I can access its USB drive on my network. I mapped the Shield's USB drive to L:/ and all is working fine in XY. But due to something unrelated I was doing earlier, the Shield crashed and the USB drive was no longer visible on the network. When...

Re: Will not set as default file manager
Get https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon and capture MediaMonkey's activity (in the registry) when you call that function and you know if it's hardcoded or not... Hmm, thanks - I ran Procmon while carrying out the task in MediaMonkey but I've got no idea how to process al...

Re: Will not set as default file manager
Sorry to re-open this post but I have a similar issue and hoping to fix it. There's one app I use (the media player MediaMonkey) which has the option to right click a file and select 'Find more from same folder (Explorer)'. It basically jumps to the location of the selected file in Explorer. I've se...

Sort order in Picasa differs from Win Explorer VS XYPlorer
I know it's been discontinued by Google but I still use Picasa photo viewer, just because it works perfectly for what I need. The only problem is it doesn't respect my specified sort order if I open an image from XY. All my photos are sorted in exactly the same way in both Win Explorer and XY, i.e. ...

Re: Opening as default explorer in MediaMonkey
As well as MediaMonkey I've found that Google Drive also opens Windows Explorer as the default shell instead of using XY (when I double click the 'Backup & Sync' icon in the tray). I've checked the Shell Integration options in the configuration settings. Do I have to change any registry settings...

Opening as default explorer in MediaMonkey
I've followed the instructions to make XY the default system explorer and it seems to work well in everything I've tried so far. The only place it's not working is in my music manager (MediaMonkey). MM has an option to right-click a music file and open it in explorer, which is something I use quite ...

Re: Hello and quick question about Dark Mode filters
Just thought I'd say, having now had a play around with XY for just a couple of hours this morning... wow!
You've obviously put a huge amount of thought, time and work into this, so many options - well worth the price!

Re: Hello and quick question about Dark Mode filters
It's OK, I just couldn't work out why my active tab colour didn't match the breadcrumb bar in dark mode when they both have the same colour settings. Didn't realise about smart dark mode/adaptive dimming but it's fine, I just enabled 'Match selected tab with breadcrumb bar' and they match now.

Hello and quick question about Dark Mode filters
Finally purchased a lifetime license today after a trial many months ago. Hello and thanks for your work! One small question to ease myself in (I'll try and read up before posting too many stoopid questions). I've enabled Dark Mode and while I prefer that in general, it seems to dull the colour I ch...

Re: Preview pane weirdness
That's correct, XY will not preview mp4 or avi (WMP plays them fine). Thanks for the K-Lite codec link. I'm probably going to stop there as my PC is used for audio & video production and I've had so many problems recently (motherboard just died so I've been reinstalling my entire system for last...

Preview pane weirdness
I'm getting all sorts of odd behaviour trying to use the preview pane on video files. Firstly most video files will generally not play at all (apart from .wmv). With .mp4 and .avi nothing will preview at all (just a static thumbnail with "XYplorer trial" overlaid). My default media player ...
