Re: MDBU on icons delay and a small config box disp error

Maybe you need to click and drag faster. There is still a delay - I find it sufficient, but I'm not everybody else. :kidding: OK, so I didn't make up that it did work.. Figured it out--I forgot, or never noticed, have to click file to select it, release, then can click-drag (pretty fast) to move. C...

MDBU on icons delay and a small config box disp error

I may be remembering wrong, but I'm almost sure that in at least some betas during recent dev of MDBU on small icons it was possible to drag an icon to move/drop file before the MDBU kicked it. It seems like the slight delay that allowed this has gone away now and it is impossible to drag icons befo...

Re: "-" shortcut hides folders when NOT in mini-tree

. . You mean if you assign '-' to the 'Hide Current Folder' command? Because I could only reproduce this behavior when I assigned a shortcut to that command. . . Hmm, yeah--missed that. I created a shortcut so long ago I forgot it was custom. Too many features in XY to keep track of! I edited origi...

Shortcut for "Mini Tree\Hide Current" active in regular tree

[Edited] v. 14.40.0315 When a custom shortcut has been set up for "View \ Mini Tree \ Hide Current Folder", the shortcut is properly disabled on the menu when mini tree is not active but "-" the shortcut still hides the current folder from the regular tree. Hidden folders are res...

Run XY as Administrator w/o User Account Control pop-up

The following steps are assembled from a few different sources, and may be helpful to some. The procedure creates a second shortcut for XY that opens XY with Administrator priveleges without the Windows UAC (User Account Control) pop-up, and which can be pinned to the Start menu and Taskbar along si...

Re: Large Tiles Larger?

Not quite what you asked, and maybe not something you're very interested in spending time on, but-- I hope that at some point XY will get infinitely variable (within a fixed range) thumbnail & tile sizing controlled by a toolbar slider and/or other appropriate means. This is a common and handy f...

Re: MDBU for Office Files

..Same here--"Failed to load an IFilter Error 80040154"; except, maybe 1/3 of Word files do preview.. Wasn't paying close attention before--Have determined that "Word 97-2003 (*.doc)" format files work in MDBU; "Word Document (*.docx)" (2010) format files don't work in...

Re: MDBU for Office Files

I get a white preview that tells me in red letters that it "failed to load an iFilter". Same here--"Failed to load an IFilter Error 80040154"; except, maybe 1/3 of Word files do preview--may be (inversely) related to how accurate the preview panel rendering is, if you want to pu...

A Tale of Two Programs..

This past week I downloaded a trial for the newest CorelDraw, four major versions later than what I own and am currently using. The interface is cleaned up in some ways, less efficient in others. A number of features that have always aggravated me have not changed at all. Not a single major improvem...

Re: TreeExpansionIcon

v14.40.0312 TPT looks great! Thanks. And I see icons better behaved at 125%. With no nodes HL option and better behaved icons I redact earlier criticism of icons--they all look pretty good now. Will leave you alone for a while..

Re: TreeExpansionIcon

And, for more argument fun ;-), here is TPT still w/ no icons but 5px wide not 3px. Threw in a couple of terminators as has been mentioned.

Re: TreeExpansionIcon

Been staring at this too much.. Occurs to me to wonder, why is TPT drawn as it is rather than follow the logic of the dotted black connector lines? i.e. (and ignoring absence of icon highlights) why drawn as on left and not as on right. Just for visual clarity, I'm guessing? Mostly curious.

Re: TreeExpansionIcon

Are you using 125% screen resolution? That's it. The icons do look a bit better (and all about same size at "Smaller - 100%", so I guess that's my and my old eye's problem. OTOH, here is an image of some of the existing icons with TPT on but the TPT outline around the icons removed. I thi...

Really? I'm seeing something weird, then (Win 7, normal fonts, XY fonts Segoe UI 10.2 [main] & Arial 9 [buttons/labels]):

Re: mouse-down blow up enhancment

FWIW, my suggestion would be, for small images, to show MDBU in same position as the File Info Tip, i.e. just below (or above, for bottom of list) and to right of mouse position, and for big images the same as now, i.e. centered. [ I didn't actually try v14.40.0308, but v14.40.0309 MDBU "center...
