Double-click on folders problems?
I'm getting this a lot: Error: -2147221248 (0x80040100) Desc: System Error &H80040100 (-2147221248). Dll: 0 Proc: DB@110 Source: XYplorer XY ver: XYplorer 14.60.0000 OS: Windows 7 Starter (Service Pack 1), 32-bit Locale: 2057 ANSI: 1252 ACP: 1252 (ANSI - Latin I) DBCS: No DPI: 96 (100%) Date: 23...
MDBU Zip
Wouldn't it be nice if, having used floating preview to look at the filelist in a zipfile, you could use mouse down blow up on any contained text files to preview their content? (Handy for readmes and fileid.diz and the like!)

Icons and caches
This is probably a stupid question. (I'm good at stupid questions!) My most-used "PC" is a netbook: 1.6GHz, Windows 7SE, 2Gb RAM, nothing exactly exciting. I keep shortcuts to most of my software in folders on the desktop, and I have XYplorer shortcuts to those folders in the catalog so I ...

Re: Session Manager [v2.6b7]
I may sob quietly to myself for a while, if that's okay? (Session Manager has been my only means of managing my environment since you first told me about it, and it not working properly has caused me much sadnessFluxTorpedoe wrote:I'd rather wait for Don input before trying to alter the script...

Re: Panes and CTBs
You're very welcome. I probably could have just went with a script that uses Command #810 to make the script as simple as... if !get("#800") {#810;} else {#800;} But, with the other way you have control over the views you want like a detail view on a left vertical pane and thumbnail view ...

Panes and CTBs
I have been trying to come up with a way to replicate the functionality of the dual pane button but slightly tweaked. Easy enough to do what I want if I add another button and leave the dual pane button where it is: basically, I want the other pane to be pointed at the folder that's currently open, ...

Re: Crashes and graphics
Well, I tried hard to reproduce it using your scenario (but with Photoshop): nope, can't reproduce. :| Does Sagelight maybe put some temp files into the working folder? I just tried hard to replicate the workflow of the last crash -- take an image, crop it, adjust stuff, run a plugin or two, save a...

Crashes and graphics
I've been editing photos this afternoon. I'm using XYplorer in thumbnails mode, browsing a folder with 30 photos in -- some original, some saves of edits -- and editing pictures with Sagelight. Twice in succession, having saved a photo and exited from the photo editor, XY has crashed. (Well, not exa...

Re: SimpleUpdater — Rev. 10.66 / 2013/04/24
most of all, I'd thank SammaySarkar once again for his help :) I would certainly wish to do that very thing, and I'm sorry I omitted to do so! In fact, thanks to all involved -- I recognise and appreciate that nobody gets anything more concrete than thanks out of all the work they put in and I'm so...

Re: SimpleUpdater — Rev. 10.66 / 2013/04/24
Shooting in the dark: does it work with wscript.exe? Can't say for sure, but I've done the replacement and run the script and it doesn't produce any errors. However, I'm not looking for beta versions so the only thing that happens is XY puts up its "already up to date" message. That's a d...

Thanks -- looked promising.Marco wrote:7 Starter, uh? Maybe this fix works? http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/error ... vbs-files/
Sadly, it hasn't made any difference.
Don't worry -- it's not as if I can't do XY updates without it.

Re: SimpleUpdater — Rev. 10.66 / 2013/04/24
And what about text %systemroot%; in XY AB? Further to this, I modified the script to fully qualify the path to cscript.exe, just in case something was going on with environment variable expansion and it still fails in the same way. The only thing remaining I can think of -- despite the fact that e...

text %systemroot%;
This is mystifying.
I'm going to update to 14.00 manually, on the netbook. (In the background, I've tried the simpleupdater script on two other machines -- on a portable XY install and a full install -- and it's worked first time.)
