I regret to say that the problem with shortcuts (.LNK) is back. In XY v .0131, strangely, this again doesn't work. They fail to load.

Hi guys again! Here's a workaround that I figured out to see Macrium Reflect (MR) image backup icons as well as loading the Browse command by left double-clicking on the respective MR image file. I created a .reg file from the lines that you gave, and have run it, but even after system restart it didn't change a thing. Obviously, more Registry branches are needed for the MR 32-bit file association functionality to be restored. I mean, that is, if you want to do it

OK, but you can paste the contents of the exported .reg file into this memo marking its beginning and end and it could be easily saved in Notepad by the end user changing extension to .reg. This would be feasible and indeed very helpful.

Just now, I temporarily downgraded XY to v .0110 to try to run MR image backup files right-clicking on them. It didn't work, the problem must have occured earlier, most probably with messed up MR installer. They did have an update about a week ago.

That I do not know, I didn't test MR on it. I just found it non-working in v .0123.

phred, would you be able to export the MR registry setting handling its file associations and enclose it as an attachment? Importing a working workaround would be the easiest way how to rectify this association problem.

As a matter of fact, this doesn't work as has been stated by someone above. MR installer definitely needs a tune up.

But what's interesting, this worked OK on my PC for years until recently. Could have been caused by the installer of their latest update(s).

Would someone be able to come up with a suggestion of a .reg file that would make Macrium Reflect 8's backup image file with extension .mrimg responding to double-clicking in XY and open, and also for its icons to load properly? Though this may not be seen as a direct topic related to XY, in my opin...

Strange, because in v .0100 shortcut to extension .bms didn't load it, but in v .0123 it does.

No, it's not a .lnk file, it's an actual image backup file. It seems properly associated with Macrium Reflect imaging program.
In Windows Explorer it opens OK, so the association is not damaged. But in XY these files don't open, even though a short time ago they did.

It doesn't load when run. Just the XY's button on the taskbar flashes once as it did with extension .bms
When run from Explorer, it opens correctly.
