Re: Zip Context Menu

The fix tested perfectly. Again Don, thanks. As always, your response was swift and decisive, and I don't know if you are told enough, but your diligence and devotion is greatly appreciated. Sure, I paid for a license, but most other developers' concern becomes limited at that point. I have never re...

Thanks Don. Sorry, I have been away from my PC so I haven't been able to test further this weekend.

Re: Zip Context Menu

I can confirm the delay with that file. But it's not a bug. It's just a huge archive and certain processes take time on a slow computer. I will do something to skip time consuming processes for certain files.... Thanks Don. Ah, but I never called it a bug! Irrelevant of the delay, does yo...

Re: Zip Context Menu

Well, the reason I hesitate to call anything a bug until it's confirmed: When I right clicked on Eclipse's ZIP file, there was a long delay (long in computer terms, about 5 seconds). OK, so maybe I didn't wait long enough! I right clicked on the Android SDK Bundle file again and waited... ...and wai...

Zip Context Menu

I finally got around (to trying) to reinstall the Android development environment after my hard drive crash and I ran into a problem (I hesitate to call something a bug until it is confirmed). When I went to the development site, I discovered Google has prepackaged everything needed (IDE and all) to...

Re: Moderators Wanted

Hey, Congrats guys! Each of your names are so familiar to me and others, I'm sure, I know the site and help will be that better and stronger with you'll on board. Have you ever been in traffic and saw someone do something stupid and said to yourself, "I wish I was a cop?" Well, now you got...

Re: XYCopy Crash

Admin, My issue sounds suspiciously like this one: < http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10192 >. That makes three of us. If possible, I volunteer to try each successive beta to pinpoint the exact version where something changed. I'll need the URL to the files. Bill Bill, I'm not a...

Re: Anyone using NirCmd?

Have a look at WSCC (Portable) On first run, it will offer to install all the Nirsoft/Sysinternal utilities. Close that window, add the ones you want to Favorites, right click => install, and you will have a nice little toolbox down by the watch. All updates can be done through WSCC , and if you mi...

Re: Anyone using NirCmd?

I've been looking for a utility (utilities, actually) like this for many, many moons, just kept getting sidetracked.

Thanks, now I don't have to search around! I'll use NirCmd myself.

Re: good software to use to read basic text files

I bought EditPad Pro years ago and love it. I've never even considered using another text editor, since. It even supports syntax highlighting for XY's script files (a separate download/plugin). There is a free version:

My story is quite similar and that was two years ago!

I think it is a great utility and the community has always been helpful.

Welcome aboard.

Re: Automatic selection of files on different DVD

I've had this happen to me as well, seemingly randomly (I never noticed or searched for a pattern), but on my system it can happen with any media.

I never worried much about it, though. But as others are now mentioning it, I thought I'd let you know Don.

Re: Multiple renaming actions on copied files

In Windows 7 I often use copy/paste to create a file backup, and then add a date to filename. Copy and paste of a file creates a filename with "- Copy" appended to the name. Currently, I do two XYplorer renaming operations: Batch Rename to append date: * <datem yyyy_mmdd> Next, Search and...

Re: Shortcuts Preview

This feature was added long back - XYplorer allows previewing the contents of a the file that a shortcut is pointing to. It does preview it. However; if I create a shortcut for an image file, the preview is not as large as the actual file. Any particular reasons for it and can it be made as large t...
