Terrific!
I started to implement it in Session Manager and it’s… even nicer than I’d imagined.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Performance of getkey & setkey
I just discover this old post ! So I thought I’d share my experience… :maf: About five years ago (I don’t know which XYplorer version it was), I tried lots of way to optimize Session Manager the best I could. One of them was exactly this idea : using getkey from a variable to limit acces...

Re: Flexible width for CTB with label
Great! The name switching works smoothly, thank you! (and now "Photos" and "Sigma" are fully displayed ! 😊) Well, now I guess I’ve no excuse not to post the Power Paper Folders script (will need to find the time)… Just a slight nitpicking if I may… The name displayed in...

Re: Flexible width for CTB with label
I have a few scripts that rely on changing their icon/label — and may potentially be run externally (CKS, UDC…), i.e. not by clicking on their icon. So, to ensure that they won’t change the icon/label of another button, I double-check their valid ctbindex by checking their ctbname among the na...

Flexible width for CTB with label [Granted]
Hi’ I discovered the addition of the text: alternative to a button name _and_ icon. For what I can see, its advantage is its flexible width (compared to label: in the icon field). So, I tried to migrate a few of my scripts that used a dynamic label: , before I realized: — what can of worms it was (b...

Re: how to show recently opened files in a drop list?
Ah, OK. Everything in Tools > List Management is for, well, list management. For example if you want to reorder entries, delete, etc. If you want to navigate via the menu, you can use: Go > Recent Locations… Also, there’s a Recent Locations toolbar button that’s readily available by default (with co...

Re: how to show recently opened files in a drop list?
"don't actually allow you to open from those menus"
I’m a bit perplexed…
Regarding e.g. the "Recent locations", double-clicking on a location, or clicking on it then on OK opens said location in a tab.
What list are you referring to?

Re: Collection Manager [v2.5]
Hi lian00 , You’re right… There are bits and pieces everywhere. 🙈 I’ll clean this a bit. A task not so easy since this script needs a few extra steps to reach its full potential (mainly the extremely useful folder monitoring). I’ll also post an update, more robust, and with Most Recently Used lists....

Have you tried to create a shortcut to e.g. Recent locations?
Tools > Customize Keyboard Shortcuts > Jump… > type "recent locations" > Go | Recent Locations…

Re: Session Manager [v6.80] ¡10 Year Anniversary!
Hi lth and welcome to the forum! Also, thanks for the kind words :) 2. That’s a bug indeed! I don’t know when and how it slipped in, but it’s definitely there. Will be fixed in the next version. 1. If I understand correctly, what you’re after could be the current "AutoUpdate All", but w...

Re: XYS Syntax Highlighting/Autocomp. for Akelpad [XY v22.70]
Ok, so it was related to code folding and irrelevant escape characters in what should be skipped. (eg. if you have a } in a "string" or //comment ) I think the whole Skips section can be cleaned up. Just to be on the safe side, I’ll test more thoroughly before posting the fixed...

Re: XYS Syntax Highlighting/Autocomp. for Akelpad [XY v22.70]
Thanks for the feedback! :) Regarding the brackets detection problem, I’ve narrowed it down to… the "/" in the first if() ! 🤔 If you replace eg. with: if (substr($ea_path, -1) != "/") { The brackets detection works correctly ! It may be related to the word bound...
