I thought something like that could happen, so I created a new folder and copied the test files there. I've never had that kind of problem with the nuke button, but I have a quick unerase tool installed just in case. First, you can nuke any file if you select it with a drawbox (is this how it's call...

I had problems with my pc (had to replac mobo, video card, ram, psu) and with my internet connection probably on sep/oct last year. Then I spent my summer vacation (dez-mar) with my family. They don't have internet. Now classes started and here I am. Back to the bug. I tried to nuke some mkv and aac...

I agree wiht j_c.
If it's implemented, it should be via custom settings.
I've always used the up button in explorer.
And now I'm so used to the 'Dbl-click on empty space goes up' behaviour in XY that I sometimes try to use it in explorer, without success so far.

Nuke + preview = bug

Been a long time since my last post... Problem: You can't nuke a locked file. XYplorer locks previewed files. So you can't nuke previewed files. But usually the files I want to nuke are those I've just previewed. This always gives a 'locked file' error. So, maybe XY should stop the preview/raw view ...

Re: batch rename extension

Yep, this is a feature. If it would replace the extension (which is what I think you expected) then appending an extension (which is what happened) would not be possible. Okay, whether appending an extension is a meaningful operation is another question. It didn't append the extension. Look: text. ...

Just a suggestion:
Add an 'Invalid Character' warning on the rename preview for the chars that can't be used on file names. '\ / : * ? " < > |'

I think it should be 'Rename Preview", just like in audio preview, video preview, image preview, etc.

Also, looks like only spaces are considered word separators now.
Shouldn't chars like '_ , . [ ] ( ) \ |' be w.s. as well?

Yup. It happened again. EDITED How to reproduce: -The info panel must be opened in one of the preview modes. -Auto-refresh must be enabled and updating the contents of the folder (ex: downloading something to the folder). -Select some files by ctrl+click or shift+click. Select all (ctrl+A) doesn't w...

Special rename preview

The last item in the preview list doesn't get renamed.

Would be perfect otherwise.
Nice addition! *thumbs up*

I think this is a good idea, especially for those people who have 256MB RAM or less, or who have high RAM usage (like me).
As for now, that trick I mentioned before will do.

Re: Batch rename popup selections (6.10.0071)

You know how you can press CTRL and the left and right arrow keys and you jump from word to word in most text areas? This doesn't appear to be working in the batch rename window in 6.10.0071. I think this is related to what jacky said about word separators yesterday. All chars except '\ : ? |' are ...

Re: Large Ram Usage

Lately, with the last few versions, I've noticed an increase of Ram usage. XY 6.20.0002 and Win XP Right now, I have 41.3megs startup and 37.5megs working. This sometimes grows back up over 40megs working after a number of hours up. The lowest amount I've seen since I started tracking this ...

Is there a way to collapse everything except the current location? Because sometimes the tree gets really big and difficult to work with. Yes, it's called "Rebuild Tree" (Ctrl+Shift+F4). That's it , thanks. I'll have to read the wiki page about KS again, to see what else I missed. And may...

Of course it does, since you cannot be on a location not shown on Tree! As soon as you collapse a parent folder of your current location, you'll jump to that parent. Same apply here, it's even hinted in the description: "Fully collapse the current drive (resp. \\Server, Desktop, MyDocuments) i...
