Re: Coonsistency in naming
The Visigoths and Ostrogoths paid them back for that, didn't they? Latin was enjoyable serving to reinforce the nuances of English grammar. And unless one was planning to work at the Vatican it wasn't necessary to speak it. On the other hand, having to read and translate Der Zauberberg from the orig...

You are both correct and sagacious.

Re: Coonsistency in naming
The great dream of that ilk was to transmute the base metal Pb into Au. Unfortunately the way the universe works it is easier to do it the other way around but there is little interest in doing that.

Re: Coonsistency in naming
Understood.
Let's call it the "overlap" that might draw some into confusion.
Really a philosophical difference between a programmer and a chemist.

Coonsistency in naming
Not a bug but an observation.
Commands that perform the same operation should have the same or very similar names. Case in point: Quick File File View and Full Screen Preview do this same thing. This is by no means self-apparent. For simplicity and consistency better to have only one name.

First system crash
For the first time xy crashed the system today. Had many tabs open and lost track of actual location. Used a Rename Special on a folder that was on a CD-R. The work station hung so badly that Task Manager wasn't able to fix. Had to reboot and lost unsaved files in Publisher and Paint.Net. IMO part o...

Re: Open Folders In Tabs
Here's the impetus for the query. When Insert As New Category Here|Tabs is invoked and the saved tabs renamed the new names show up in the Catalog. To my logic since there was sufficient reason to take the time to rename, those names should display in the new row of tabs made to appear with Open Fol...

Open Folders In Tabs
This is a very powerful feature but as currently implemented has one drawback. No matter how a tab is renamed, when the command is used the tab always displays the path instead of the rename which - IMO - should show.
Is this by design or a bug?

Using File / Properties #173
Is there anything wrong with the code for this?
It works in Try Script but as a single Catalog item when clicked the selected file gets deselected and the message produced is "Nothing Selected".
Maybe the key is how to hold the focus on the file of interest?

CKS missing the obvious
Going on three months with the program am starting to have trouble remembering some of the first KS's assigned.
Would it not make great practical sense to add a button next to "All Free Shortcuts" that has "All Assigned Shortcuts"?
