Re: "Send to" context menu invalid entries

Ok, what can I do to fix this then?
This is the shortcut properties window, all looks good to me, no env vars here.
I used WIndows Explorer to create the shortcut - Copy on the real exe, then in the above location -> right click - paste as shortcut.

Re: Renaming folder to existing merges contents

Wait, you will remove what? :)
I guess you will add custom check when renaming folders...
Renaming files works fine though, even in XY.

Re: "Send to" context menu invalid entries

I just added a shortcut to another program in the above location - the notepad2-mod editor, located in C:\Program Files\Notepad2-mod\Notepad2.exe. It appeared right away in XY (and WExplorer) but XY still tries to open C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad2-mod\Notepad2.exe. How's that.. I've never had not...

Re: Renaming folder to existing merges contents

I'm on Windows 2016. As I see it, the wrong behavior is seen on Win10/2016 and not on Don's Win8 (I presume). This is dangerous behavior. Once files have been moved to the other location there might be no way to tell which files were moved so we can restore the original folder (which has been delete...

Re: "Send to" context menu invalid entries

My Windows installation is less than a year old. I think I've never installed 32 bit versions of most programs I see in Send To. Yet, XY tries to open program files (x86) versions... In Windows Explorer it all works right. I thought XY "gets" the items for its Send To context submenu from ...

"Send to" context menu invalid entries

Just tried to use Send_to context menu for a file (haven't been using this menu for long) and send it to EmEditor (or other apps) and I got Non existing executable (C:\Program Files (x86)\Emeditor......), the same with WinHEX etc. Yes, they don't exist in C:\Program Files (x86)\... but in C:\Program...

Renaming folder to existing merges contents

I'm not sure if this is something intended. I didn't find anything in options. "Allow move on rename" might have had something to do, but it's the same whether it's on or off. When renaming a folder to a name of an already existing folder, the contents is moved to the existing folder and t...

Re: I want to have smooth scrolling, just like a web browser.

Ok, so unless we know how technically the driver behaves in respect to wheel movements and what exactly is happening with this particular mouse's driver, we should conclude that smooth scrolling in the topic adheres to standard concept for all "other" mice - having steps and the sofware pr...

Re: I want to have smooth scrolling, just like a web browser.

I don't know Italian. I looked up reviews and specs in english. This is a very cheap MS mouse. I couldn't find or see anything special about this mouse in reviews online or in specs. I believe the OP would have mentioned if he had a "special" mouse he wanted support for in XY in some way. ...

Re: I want to have smooth scrolling, just like a web browser.

Please give links to such mice to see what is that mysterious new technology. There might be something I've (we) never heard so far. Free-scrolling is normally referring to mice whose scroll wheel can be switched to spin without "steps", freely. I've had numerous such mice. It has to do on...

Re: No autorefresh in the list

This is really intermittent. It happens to me for long time but is really rare indeed. And yes, maybe with Firefox's downloading scheme it's more prominent. I'm more to blame Windows here as it sometimes happens with Windows explorer as well. Years ago I was writing some small tool in VS and during ...

Re: I want to have smooth scrolling, just like a web browser.

I don't know what exactly MS frictionless mouse should mean either. I've made a search and nothing came out of google. Friction(less) is known as the level of ... friction between the physical mouse and the underlying pad/mat. I thought it might be a mouse with a scroll wheel that is much more "...

Re: I want to have smooth scrolling, just like a web browser.

Are you serious? Not possible? Dependent on the mouse? No way you are talking seriously. Mice send "steps". Keyboards send steps (keys and repeated keys) to the system. You can smooth-scroll browsers (virtually all) by keyboard too. It's the software that decides how to smooth the movement...

Re: Don't show file size in bytes

Everywhere wherever I can, all my filesizes are configured for raw bytes (with comma thousands separator). Another positive side effect of this is I can just glance at filesize column and tell apart bigger from smaller files only by the length of the number :) . If I used KB/MB/GB there is no easy t...

Re: Don't show file size in bytes

This is Absolutely needed info! No way I'd live without it (I mean showing the byte size in various places).
And what'a about being "ugly".., If it's useful info, it's not 'ugly'.. An option to remove it would be Ok, but I believe Don wouldn't remove it altogether and totally.
