Re: Double clicking on "new tab" button creates 3 new tabs

Can you try using another mouse.

I have had issues with false double clicks earlier (not on XY, but in MS Excel where the crosshair towards bottom right of the cell didn't work)

Re: Type Ahead Find: First match beginning, then match anywh

That would kill TAFMatchAnywhere=2 for me. It's fine to have the option to jump to files by first letter, but it's more important for me to cycle all files with "snake" somewhere in the name when I type "snake", and not get stuck with that one file that happens to start with "snake". When I read th...

Re: See Contents Of Many Folders

Sorry, my mistake.

I interpreted ?* as the wildcards. The pattern shouted out loud when I created the folder structure provided in the example.

Re: See Contents Of Many Folders

You could do a multi location search, and store it in a locked search tab. For example enter this into the Address Bar and press Enter. It will show the contents of E:\Test_A\ and E:\Test_B\ in one list. E:\Test_A\;E:\Test_B\?* (of course, use folders that exist on your system) Is this broken now. ...

Re: ZIP Support (so I can finally retire "PowerDersk Pro")

7z is completely different from zip format.

You many want to try that with docx or xlsx which use the zip container.

Re: Minor glitch in text floating preview

Though it may have appeared like a coding advise, it was a user suggestion. As a user I wouldn't want to see an unexpected behaviour due to the differences in environments.

Re: Minor glitch in text floating preview

Don
Win XP is approaching its end of life cycle, it would be better if you code with Win 7 / win 8 in mind and have if required work around for earlier versions.

Re: Unwanted additions to Favorite Folders

Ctrl+B is for Favorites and favorites are displayed in Bold.
You may use Ctrl+Shift+B to highlight folder instead if you just want them to stand out.

I use Windows Defender that comes with Windows 8. I got a free license of KIS and hence tried using that.

Re: Problems with Kaspersky

Even I faced this issue but didn't report it. I trust Kaspersky aren't aware of agile software development and the constantly updated XY appears like a trojan to it. I observed that even if I trust a version and upgrade XY, it start blocking it. I did the smart choice just day before yesterday. I un...

Re: Additional Default Column Layouts

Hope you reconsider it. If I limit the sizes of columns and displayed columns in vertical DP, as soon as I go to Single Pane, there is lot of whitespace. Might be if you are planning to allow moving the location of preview pane, this would become redundant and not at all required as, Preview pane wo...

Would be great.
But to keep the true sense of portability, a custom archiving tool would be better. This would allow to use portable archiving tool as well.

Additional Default Column Layouts

Don,
Can you add different Default Column Layouts for the following scenarios please
1. Single Pane
2. Horizontal DP
3. Vertical DP

Horizontal DP and Single Pane can do with the same Column Layout as the horizonal screen estate would remain the same.

Re: Ghosted Network drives

No, it is still visible for me. If it was supposed to fix removed removable drives, it didn't work.

And I forgot to mention earlier, it isn't visible in the Normal Tree, but appears in the mini tree even after I switch it off and on.
