Change in script action depending on absolute/relative path
Not sure if this is a bug (or a deliberate change) - but anyway it is a change in behaviour that has caused my scripts to fail. The change is somewhere between 18.7 and 19.5 (I did a large step update) In the older versions these two simple script lines (I have them on a button) would achieve the sa...

Re: [SOLVED] Custom File Icons isn't working in Windows 8
In case it helps anyone else: I have been having a problem in Windows 10 with a) Custom file icons not showing up b) File icons on my toolbar tools not showing up Eventually I did as suggested earlier in this thread - I just changed the default association for .ico files in Windows to another random...

Re: Paper folders - some minor possible bugs
Ok given that paper folders is the most stunning useful thing ever here (in that spirit) are two more thinks that need tweaking a) Visual filters are looking at the whole path - I think this is a mistake b) Filter by selection would be stunning but doesn't work -- it filters all out -- reason is the...

Re: Paper folders - some minor possible bugs
In addition to above buglets:
If you right click on a thumbnail in a paper folder that is filtered in some way and say "Remove Selected Items" - the item is not in fact removed.
It can only be removed if the paperfolder is unfiltered.

Paper folders - some minor possible bugs
I really really love paper folders. A few minor buglets noticed however. (Using 14.50.0200) a) If files have the same name (which is obviously possible and indeed common for me) then thumbnails don't work properly. Two images with the same filename will have the same thumb (regardless of cache refre...

Re: Bug on delete confirmation
Supress MS Windows' delete confirmation prompt The above sounds reasonable to me. More importantly in the tree menu "Select next item after delete and move" must be off by default and should carry some warning -- maybe something warning users against selecting this option in most circumst...

Re: Bug on delete confirmation
Yes, but Microsoft don't have a setting which says move onto the next item and delete that too, and the next one and the next and all the rest of your folders. Must say, you write great software, but your manner is not great, and that really lets you down big time - I won't bother reporting serious ...

Re: Bug on delete confirmation
Not sure why it's theoretical -- that is what actually happens all the time.

Re: Bug on delete confirmation
OK -- will try to find the Win 8 setting - but that makes it even more important to make delete key delete only one file or folder, and to make the setting that moves to the next file or folder after delete much more explicit (or perhaps remove that option altogether). Bear in mine that some folk ma...

Re: Bug on delete confirmation
Actually, having looked at this further I think there is an actual bug operating here as well as a disagreement about operation. The reason this came to light for me was because I am in the process of migrating from my old XP machine to a Win 8 machine. I still have the old machine operating for the...

Re: Bug on delete confirmation
OK, whatever.
Let us leave the dialog text as it is and let users delete their files in error - not something that is exactly going to enhance the reputation of this great software.

Re: Bug on delete confirmation
Yes you can alter the keyboard repeat rate, but that is not really the issue here (and it would also slow the rate of every key in every program).

Re: Bug on delete confirmation
Yup. But it will not be clear to the average punter what the full implications are of "Select next item after delete and move" particularly if Delete confirmations ARE set to ON Its OK to seek adventure if one wishes, but this would be inadvertent and unsought-for adventure. My point is no...

Re: Bug on delete confirmation
Ah, that works well (and is also better than having a confirmation dialog) but is extremely obscurely configured and perhaps slightly dangerous. Think the information in the config as to what delete confirmation is actually confirming would help, and this setting needs to be made more explicit and p...
