A different case of tool tips creating problems is browsing a folder with video files: by default, XYplorer parses movie files the mouse cursor is on to display specific video information including length, which can take a lot of time with large files.

I had already dug pretty deep into the configuration and enabled display of hidden and system files/folders - the folders in the tree view with dimmed icons are hidden. Shouldn't hitting F5 force a reparse of the folder and redraw of the tree view? Is there any other "quick fix" to this besides closing the window and starting over? XYplorer allows separate refresh of the file list and the tree. F5 forces a refresh of the file list, whereas F4 (Ctrl+Shift...

You can select a drive root and then do "Refresh Current Folder" (Shift+F4) to get an idea. I don't see much of a performance improvement, but limiting the refresh to the current drive would prevent the mentioned side-effects (floppy seek with grating noise, etc.). Can't wait for RefreshT...
