So ... you're requesting the ability to delete a bunch of files (folder content or more than one selected file) that all have an overlong path name at the same time ?
Perhaps with a more detailed warning about the permanent deletion of said multiple files ?

Re: "Long File Names or Folder Names or Paths"
You misunderstand me, its the windows gui/shell that doesn't allow this as a normal operation. However XYplorer capitalizes on the method available through the API to avoid the limitation, allowing you to access and create such paths. XYplorer can delete those files, its the recycle bin that will gi...

Re: "Long File Names or Folder Names or Paths"
The point is that windows by design doesn't allow the user to create or use such long names, you have to go through the API to bypass the limitation. Because of that you can't create such files the normal way in WE. The Recycle Bin will not accept them I suppose because if it did it will only have t...

Re: SC taglist() the missing option.
So ... bug ?
I would think that once we stored the value in a variable it wouldn't be an issue, unless its some sort of precaution that goes a bit further than intended.

Re: SC taglist() the missing option.
thanks for taglist() improvement Don. :) as new drop-variable is part of same release i decided to ask here: i can't figure out how to use it in any other way. :cry: $d = <get drop>; text $d; gives: ".." is not a valid script command. The problem is with your use of the text command its t...

Re: SC taglist() the missing option.
Do we have a SC similar to self() that will give us info on the catalog item caption that triggered the script ? or possibly the first item of <get drop> could be changed to contain that info ? I see writing a single script for various items that will add/remove a tag based on which catalog item was...

Re: Does shell integration provide any performance improveme
Quick answer is no. Shell integration might improve ease of use but not significantly (depending on your habits). Sure its nice to have XYplorer open when you double-click a folder or drive, but once you're used to it you'll hardly ever find yourself wanting to browse to a folder or drive without XY...

Re: Suggestions for Columns
If you customize the toolbar you can add the buttons for 'copy to other pane' and 'move to other pane'.
Those buttons won't sit between the panes but on the other hand you also won't loose all that screen space.

SC taglist() the missing option.
Just looked over the tag and taglist SC and it keeps nagging at me that taglist should have an option to add tags to the current list. Maintaining several tag lists could be useful but only needed if you're going to apply them manually rather then use the tag SC. On the other hand if you're adding t...

Re: Preview not working correctly for some extensions
The usual replacement for such and other control characters that can't be displayed is a sort of rectangle [] character.

Re: Bring back tabbar similar to version 7.9
Ah, well, I didn't look into it to see how new that tweak was. It just that ... well ... anything that helps reclaim more screen space for things that need it like the tab bar. Its not as visually pleasing but it might work for a double-pane layout if you add the option for the tab-bar to wrap (crea...

Re: Request: New folders sorted at the top
I'm on XP so I haven't seen how Win 7 does it, is it a live sort of some kind ?
Seem to me that when you press ctrl+n you get the 'New Folder' at the bottom at the same instant before you type in your choice of name;
So thats why I thought it would just jump to 'N' if you do it that way.

Thought I'd make it more unique by suggesting a possible alternative solution, since I've seen none in those other threads.
