Re: Background processing doesn't always work
The Windows version I am using is Win 7 64-bit Professional, the 7600 build with available patches and updates. Same here. I have updated to 9.00.0010 and this did not change the issue. I've tried both 9.00.0010 as well as 9.00.0017 beta; both versions don't show your problem here. When I right-cli...

Re: Background processing doesn't always work
If I select-and-RIGHTMOUSE-drag my files the resulting action does not get executed in the background. I'm afraid I can't reproduce this with 9.10.0017: when I right-click and drag a file to a directory in the tree, I get the pop-up menu. After selecting Copy, I see the XYcopy.exe-icon popping up; ...

Re: New XYplorer app icon bug
Cannot reproduce this. Tried on both Win-7 32 and 64 bits. I don't know if it matters but have UAC turned off in both. So have I, no UAC. Another long shot, but does rebooting make any difference? I have XYplorer pinned (unlike you) and the new icon didn't show up in the taskbar until after I reboo...

Re: Looking for "IconFile=[Filename]"
Having upgraded to v9.00.0017 cannot locate "IconFile=[Filename]" in xyplorer.ini. Does it have to be added manually or am I missing something patently obvious? :? If you see in XYplorer's title bar something like "upgraded to 9.10.0017", xyplorer.ini hasn't yet been saved by th...

Re: Double entry in TreeView
You've cracked it! In hindsight, I should have twigged that D: appeared where My Documents normally is, but...admin wrote:This looks like you have defined D: as your (My) Documents special folder. So the display is correct, but your choice a bit unusual.

Re: Delete (or Recycle) dialog not modeless
I saw an additional reason: Isn't it a bit strange/confusing that intra-volume moves are missing from the (Background) Status Log? I could easily generate Huh?-moments with users who are not fully aware of the backgrounding conditions. Another possibility would be to make it optional: Background th...

I can indeed reproduce this on Windows 7 x64.

Re: New XYplorer app icon bug
In Win 7, no matter what value I insert into the INI file the taskbar icon doesn't change -- it shows the default blue-to-green plectrum. Aero Sneak Peek and top left-hand corner icon changes though...see below. In my experience, start menu shortcuts you pin to the taskbar get copied rather than re...

I think we can safely say that mount points are not the problem . I'm sorry I can't be of more help.raananb wrote:The screen shot of the dialog is displayed in http://www.pixname.com/xyAdmin1.jpg soed not show any other drive than D: (as for the French, no worries, I can translate)

Re: Delete (or Recycle) dialog not modeless
1. intra-partition moves are never handled by XYcopy but just done by the XYplorer process. This was the original design for deletes as well, which you changed to accommodate much larger than average deletes. By the same logic, would it be an idea to farm out intra-partition moves to background pro...

Re: Delete (or Recycle) dialog not modeless
Also, do XYcopy.exe instances handle more than one queue item? By way of an example, when there are two copy jobs in the queue, are they handled (sequentially, of course) by one and the same XYcopy.exe instance or does each queue item always spawns a new XYcopy.exe process? That's easy to test. Dis...

Re: Delete (or Recycle) dialog not modeless
If background processing is enabled: - Copy and move commands are queued IF queuing is enabled, else they are spawned to separate background processes. - Delete operations are always spawned to separate background processes. I forgot to ask about intra-partition moves: I assume that, like deletes, ...

Re: Double entry in TreeView
I have no idea whatsoever. A screen copy of Vista Administration view of the hard disk (inFrench) is at http://www.pixname.com/xyAdmin.png shows nothing oustanding IMHO. Other than asking whether you've used the Subst command in a command window (you'd have remembered by now, I'm sure), I'm afraid ...

Re: XYcopy -- Parallel when should be Queued
@Don: Sorry for bumping this if you've already seen it, but could you look into whether this is actually a bug? Thank you.
