Possible issue with Wipe
This might be hard to verify ... I'm currently using XYPlorer's File Wipe to delete a lot (approx 80,000) files before a system goes away to be repaired. I tried to do it all in one go: after a while, XY threw an error saying it couldn't do one of the files, then on skipping it and continuing, it th...

Paper folders and manual sorting
So I'm trying to make a playlist for the car, using a paper folder that will (once it's sorted) copy files to a USB stick that will read files in unsorted file order. I've managed to crash XYPlorer twice, trying to drag a file (in the paper folder) to the bottom of the list. I'm using 20.60, I have ...

Re: Session Manager [v6.50]
Thanks, that's really helpful -- and I think the tweak-free option will do all I need!

Re: Session Manager [v6.50]
I'm still a fairly heavy user of this brilliant script... Something I'd find helpful but I'm not sure if it's something that relates to something in normal tabset functionality that I could have configured better, or something Session Manager could support (or even does support but I can't work out ...

Brilliant -- thanks!
This is my most relied-upon script, I use it multiple times a day, and your continued work on it is quite wonderful. Just sayin'

Re: %ProgramFiles%
Ah -- I think I understand. So you're saying that it's not that XYplorer is misreporting %ProgramFiles%, it's providing the answer that Windows gives when a 32-bit process queries the variable? I'm not used to the concept of an environment variable that's context-sensitive :) Thanks for the clarific...

Re: %ProgramFiles%
No, I'm not trying to find a variable, I'm trying to work out why something entirely unrelated to XYplorer broke -- but which I might well have installed from an XYplorer window. It might not be an XYplorer issue at all -- but I'm concerned that XYplorer, in reporting the %ProgramFiles% variable inc...

%ProgramFiles%
I've been trying to diagnose and fix some weird behaviour on a couple of my systems. In my investigations, I discovered that the %ProgramFiles% environment variable was set to \Program Files (x86) instead of what it should be. So a bit more digging and general paranoia later, I think it's XYplorer m...

Re: Unbuffered custom copy/move
Teracopy seems good, *it seems* does unbuffered but seems abandoned, was rumored to do unpleasant things to the system and I found some small glitches as well. I don't think it's abandoned: there's a beta (3.3) with a 2018 copyright date on it... My only issue with Teracopy with XY (been using it f...

Re: Clipboard Manager
Clipboard Help and Spell from Donationcoder has been my clipboard manager of choice for some years. I used to use ArsClip but something -- I no longer remember what -- caused me to abandon it. The nice thing about CHS is you can sort, categorise, make groups of things (I have a list of email address...

Preview popup
I was just using XYplorer on a dual-screen setup. I've found that if I mouse-down on a txt file for a preview, the preview always appears on the primary monitor even if XY is running on the secondary. And while looking to see if I've missed a setting somewhere, I discovered that the config window ap...

Removing removable drives
I have an external HDD that I use primarily for backups. Since XYplorer 19.10, attempts to dismount the drive for removal fail until I've unloaded XYPlorer. (This used to be normal if I had a view of the drive open in XYPlorer; I'd just navigate away and minimise again. Now, XY seems to hold onto th...

Re: SimpleUpdater — Rev. 10.69 / 2016/06/19
I'm seeing some errors under XP -- invalid date "" is reported on line 52, if that's any help. But Win10 and Win7 x64 both seem to work as they should. I'd thought it was just the beta channel that was failing but (having successfully downgraded .306 to .300 on the XP box without really in...

Re: Attribute setting
I sort of get that this is getting more and more offtopic but just in case it's useful to anyone: And particularly to say "thanks" to highend for the example without which I'm quite sure I wouldn't have known where to even start... I wanted to have the starting point for the new datestamp ...
