Find Files
A quick question about the find files function. I'm sorry if this info is available elsewhere but I haven't been able to find it. Anyways, here goes... If I do a “find files” which puts the results into the current tab, how do I "undo" the search (ie revert the list view within the tab bac...

Long file names
I have a file (word doc actually) with a rather long name (about 160+ chars) on an NTFS partition on XP SP2. XY cannot move, copy or rename it. Each fails with the message "Cannot move/copy/rename file: " (note that nothing appears after the ‘:’ in the message). While I can see the file’s ...

New Folders and autoresize
This is no biggie but... Creating a new folder (either by Ctrl-N or the toolbar button) doesn’t always autosize the date columns, specifically the modified date column (I haven’t checked the others). To reproduce, find/create a folder with files in it that have relatively narrow dates (eg 01-Jul-200...

What I meant by wildcarding is the ability that the SF has to select rows based on part of a name with no wildcards. eg Files: file1.txt file2.txt file3.txt fred1.txt For the SF I just type 'fred' and I get 'fred1.txt' selected and nothing else. Note no wildcards used. As for the column-wise VF. Wel...

Column-wise visual filter
Why does the visual filter not have the same capabilities (column-wise filtering and wildcarding) as the selection filter? I would like to see the visual filter gain the same super powers if possible.
Keep up the good work!
Cheers

Move/Copy/Backup To dialogue
I really like this feature and I have been using it a lot. I have a couple of wishes (of course): Wish 1: When I click on the ellipsis button to browse to a new folder, the starting folder in the folder requester is always “My Computer”. Can this be changed to the folder that is selected in the dial...

Yeah, I meant that I was literally clicking on the subfolder's name in the list view... Cool. Now I understand what is going on. I must have been having a blond moment not to get it before :) Thnx jacky. About the F5 thing though, pressing F5 does remove the all folder sizes except for a subfolder w...

The new beta looks good. Three things: 1. When I click on a subfolder's name, the size is filled in but the column is not autosized. I love my autosize :) 2. I have Configuation->General->Show folder sizes in file list turned off. Should the folder's size be filled in in this case? :? 3. If I sort t...

Calc folder sizes and autosize
I love the Calculate folder size toolbar button and find it very useful. However, when I use the function on a folder, the list view does seem to autoresize. To reproduce: Pick a folder with at least one subfolder with a short name but also which includes files of reasonable size. Click the Calculat...

Cut n paste oddity
I've found an interesting cut n paste thing. Note that I have View->List Style->Full row select and View->List Style->Highlight focused row turned on. 1. Cut file A from folder A in tab A. 2. Switch to tab B which is targeted on folder B. Folder B has (in this case) 2 files within it. The top file i...
