The best would be if config-files are directly stored in windows-profile (or the other appropriate directories for these files) But I think they are stored in application-dir because of XY is a portable-application. All I wounder about is why your config is stored in virtual-store even if UAC is dis...

Sounds like you have the "Windows User Control" (UAC) (in German "Benutzerkontensteuerung") activated. If you are running XY without administrative-priviliges and the configuration is saved in "C:\Program Files\XYplorer..." Windows redirects this to another special fold...

More Keybord Shortcuts

As I see the posibility to use the catalog for storing all open tabs I asked myself, whats the Hotkey for this. Since there is no default, I tried to find the catalog-contextmenu-items in the "Customize Keyboard Shortcuts". Are there tomatoes in front of my eyes or is it simly impossible t...

Quite usefull when using the "Show navigation Panel"-button to toggle. (Because of, if both are hidden nothing can be toggled) But for using the "Show/Hide Catalog"-feature its even worse. Because of when first of all catalog is toggled, and then tree is toggled. Which results in...

Being a Java programmer myself, I kinda got used to garbage collection. It's clearly natural for the tree to expand as you go down it I was wondering if it would be possible for the tree to collapse back as I go back up the chain. [...] I fully agree with you, most the time I spend on the tree is c...

Re: Need 12-15 simple examples of XY usage for demo

ok...here's my comments on these: 1) doesn't apply to laptop/touchpad users plus many folks never change it Until now, I never noticed that feature, and for me its defently not important, and yes, touchpads suck (but normal scrolling works normal on my Thinkpad T30). I carry an extra mouse with my ...

I'am using XYplorer on WinXP Pro and never had these issues, maybe its a Vista problem because of the mapping for example that "Programme" and "Program Files" in Vista is mapped to the same folder on disk...

Startup maximized

Normaly I leave XY open all the time, but when I close it, it is mostly minimized before. Because I let XY save the settings on exit (to have the same tabs when reopeneing...) it starts minimized then. What do you think about an "Startup maximized"-switch in the "Startup & Exit&qu...

mainly because it appears as just a bunch of graphics and not "real" text, which you can see via the Raw View on Info Panel...so any search would have to decrypt/decipher the internal format which a PDF viewer does. But this doesn't apply to all PDF-documents, as far as I know is text als...
