also:

some afdesign files dont preview with "show hover box" BUT
if I preview them from within de AFdesign app eg. in a "open file" dialog
then afterwards they display fine with "show hover box"

working a lot in Affinity Designer lately I would really like to display its preview in XY

why is the "show hover box" displaying the preview and not the preview pane??

hi although win explorer gives me a preview of *.afdesign files XYplorer doesnt here I tried to enter the file extension in preferences/category/imagefiles get cannot decode... no idea how to enter userDefinedPreviewHandler ! Edit: I get the hover pop-up preview but not in the preview pane where it ...

hi Tidying my pdf invoices I thought of a very fine way to add user defined pre or post string to the pdf's file names the user builds his prefixes list in list management then when he wants to add a prefix selects one file to prefix hits the keyboard shortcut a pop up apears with the prefixes list ...

so simple and useful should be integrated in XY UI

yes it does with the code you suplied but still no joy
when I fire the script
I can see a fast flash in the preview pane but it ends empty

I suppose it worked fine the first times I tried your script or I wouldnt have written that it was working as I wanted ...

But it doesnt anymore
for the record the first fails to refresh where already on the original version of the script
