Re: Extensive Thumbnail Processing Limbo / No Notification
I will look at this later, thanks. Don, as a follow up: If XY hasn't created the thumbnails in a folder, once it starts this process them, XY is unresponsive until it finishes. You cannot select another folder or otherwise until done. If you have folders with large number of images this can last fo...

Tab Preview: Extensive Processing in XY
I've encountered displaying some PDF files in the Tab Preview can cause XY to display an astronomical level processing "something" before it even calls the handler (PDF-XChange Viewer): lots of memory allocation and deallocation, again and again, 30-40 seconds. During this time XY becomes ...

Re: Random crash
Morning, ... Try if v10.70.0106 fixes it. Don, v10.70.0106 and not a single crash in several hours, looks good. :) . I'm seeing an interesting side effect, unless you made some change from v10.70.0100 ~ v10.70.0106: In Firefox, after downloading a file, "Download" statusbar | right-click ...

Re: Random crash
1. Can somebody else confirm that 10.60.0100 does not show the crashes? Note: The crashes occur with 10.60.0100 but with significantly lower frequency, as in a couple times per week or less. 2. Just to make sure: these crashes come - under Win7/64 - if WinRAR x64 is installed and integrated in the ...

Re: Random crash
Executed 10.60.0100 all day long and not one crash. Installed 10.70.0100 and crash after crash (didn't access WinRAR at all). Respectively, humbly, and on my knees, requesting some 'backdoor' configuration option that allows for File | Settings | Save Configuration (SHIFT+ALT+S) automation upon each...

Re: Random crash
I never doubted you were right :) , but I was hoping a solution/workaround would somehow surface from the discussion here. So the only solution might be posting a bug report to WinRAR developers? Looks like. I'm not satisfied with this, of course, because Explorer does not crash. But I don't think ...

Re: Random crash
True, but I did not get that one yet. If I find out how to get an error 7 I can fix that crash (I might not be able to avoid the error, but at least it will not crash on error 7 anymore). The error was reported as an error handler caught it and displayed the error message before it tanked. Now the ...

Thanks for your interest in this obscure problem! It's not a WinRAR specific defect. VB.Err=7 is int...

Re: Random crash
I really tried to do again everything I did as yesterday to get a crash, and I had only one in about half an hour of tries. Before the crash I saw the error message Run-time error '7': Out of memory exactly as in one of the reported screenshoots. But I can't find a reproducible pattern yet  :r...

"OK" button missing
XYcopy.exe: Custom Move dialog often falls behind XY (Z-Order). In attempt to use external product to move dialog to front/on top of XY the "OK" button is lost. This is the only dialog exhibiting this behavior. Using Actual Windows Manager v6.7.2 with TargetWindow.Program= XYcopy.exe; Star...

Re: Random crash
Closed most of the nodes in the Tree View. Opened WinRAR SFX (64-bit) and changed the "comments" again, and again, ... (w/o closing it). Attempted to access the executable, via launching it (the SFX) and XY generates, VB.Err=7. I'm not seeing an obvious memory leak from the peak working se...
