Re: Configuring Pane Display at Startup
Sorry Don, not sure what you mean by a fresh instance. Multiple times I have closed it, rebooted and the behavior persists. * As it turns out, I created a work around...a tool bar button that collapses all my drives so we can just defer this issue. Here is my script which may not be the most elegant...

Re: Configuring Pane Display at Startup
Yes unless I somehow changed another config option that causes it to fail.
Here's my current config where I don't save settings but it still won't reset the tree and lists

Re: Configuring Pane Display at Startup
Win 10 x64 XY 21.40.0100 Coming back as this now no longer closes the tree. It has inconsistent behavior depending on the state of the tree when XY is closed. Sometimes it will close the C: drive and leave network drives open, other times it will close all the network drives and leave the C: drive o...

Can't Modify-In USe By XY
I have intermittent problems with XY locking a file or folder that I am accessing via XY. Today, using XY, I created a folder, then immediately realized I had given it the wrong name, I edited the folder name and when I tried to save, I got a message that the folder was in use. Since no other app or...

Expand Favorite Folder Menu
I am always using the Favorite Folders tool bar button as a nav aid and it works great. But now, stretched across multiple PCs, external drives and my connected phone, the vertical list is extending beyond the page boundary. Would it be possible to have this more configurable- Ability to add sub men...

Re: Is XY Stll Portable?
Understood, I wasn't aware that could be an issue. So far, XY is working fine- I have changed tool bar items, tabs and catalogs and all are preserved correctly. I had to do this because my company has imposed MDM as well as removed some of our Admin authority. We can no longer install any "unap...

Re: Is XY Stll Portable?
Mystery solved Somehow during the new XY installation my Appdata settings were over-written with the defaults. Since I had deleted the old XY program files, perhaps the installation thought it was a new installation. Fortunately I had a backup and was able to restore the settings so all is well agai...

Is XY Stll Portable?
Win 10 XY 20.90.0700 I'm rearranging my local HDD and moving XY and other utilities into a different parent folder. I believe XY is still portable so I copied the XY folder from C:\Program Files (x86) to C:\MyPrograms Then from Programs and Features, I uninstalled Xy * When I launched XY from the ne...

Re: Drag and Drop Fails
I did not but after enabling, I now see the dialogue.
I have never used this feature before;
Since this is required to see the dialogue during a background file process, does Custom Copy refer to Dan's proprietary XYCopy?

Re: Drag and Drop Fails
Yes, and I don't recall enabling it but must have by accident.
How does that impact D&D?
*
I see from reading the Help that the move is passed to XYcopy which processes it in the background; however, the UI is not updated, even after a period of time. Is that by design?
