Thank you for the idea. Unfortunately, it will not work because that switch is already disabled.SammaySarkar wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019 11:41 Try disabling this: Configuration > Tabs and Panes > Tabs > Auto-save tabsets on switch

Re: Settings are erroneously saved
"Save changes to disk immediately" This previous post is mysterious. I don't care what is saved immediately. I do not want my active tabsets automatically saved, regardless of timing. Furthermore, "Save changes to disk immediately" does not even refer to tabsets, so this post se...

Settings are erroneously saved
Although my config specifies that settings should not be saved on exit, sometimes they are saved anyway! The issue is with tabsets. I do not want them saved. I have set the MRU list without tabsets marked. I am not sure how to reproduce the problem, but it is certainly frustrating! The effect is tha...

Re: Avoid installing startup.ini on updates

Re: Avoid installing startup.ini on updates
Had you already deleted startup.ini before the update? That is when the issue arises. Steps are below. Delete startup.ini from your portable installation. Run the installer to update your portable installation. Notice that a new default startup.ini file was just created. As noted, above, step #1 is ...

Re: Avoid installing startup.ini on updates
Your no-installer method is likely more common for portable installations, but unlike most programs' installers, XYplorer's installer is designed to accommodate portable installations as well as the standard ones. As such, it should avoid breaking them!

Avoid installing startup.ini on updates
When updating a portable installation that contains no startup.ini file, the XYplorer installer recreates startup.ini, which moves the program's appdata path. Instead, the updating process should not create or modify startup.ini if XYplorer already exists. As a workaround, instead of deleting startu...

When type ahead find is set to match at beginning, it actually matches everywhere.

Re: Custom Copy: direct actions buttons on collisions
Would try to use the same wording that the user will see with the main feature. If the user sees, "Do this also for the next collisions", then the option for the default should include the same words if possible. For this default feature, would probably allow the user to select one of thre...
