Re: Rename Bug for DATEEXIF?

I have to thank you ! The manual was buggy at this point, and even the factory defaults of a fresh installation contained this bug (double instead of single quotes)! Well, thanks then.. :) But the real fact, we are all have to thanks a lot to your team for such a nice useful program that does a lot...

Re: Rename Bug for DATEEXIF?

Wow.. Thank you so much for the prompt reply!!! :D I really appreciate,.. :) Especially to muroph for that single quote thing - the easiest and the best solution! ;) Well, I am sorry anyway if I wrongly reported this issue as a bug coz I just blindly follow the manual how to make a script.. T...

Rename Bug for DATEEXIF?

Attached is the button properties as well as the real case rename preview.

The problem here is that.. It immediately substitutes "<dateexif yyyymmdd.hhnnss>" to the value of the first file and fix that value to the rest of files in the current batch.

Thank you.

Confusing HOME definition??

I've just noticed that actually Home is only working for the current open tab. All this while I was expecting Home is something that can be set permanent to some user-specified location. The same concept applied to all web browsers e.g. Internet Explorer. No wonder I've tried setting the home so man...

Go to tool>config>General and uncheck "save settings on exit". Now set the required tabs you need to home and save this setting (file>configuration file>save configuration). Now everytime you restart you will have those homed tabs unchanged. I see.. thanks.. So, is that means SETTINGS is ...

JC is right, it does show all the time in tree and one RB for each drive. You will see it only if you have checked the "Show hidden files and folders" in the config. But I guess there is some misunderstanding here. I think what aimy means is RB does not show below the Nethood like in wind...

Why not use the thumbs cache. It's ultra fast... A create-thumb-on-demand method is certainly a cool idea, but currently there are other things to do first. Yeah I've checked that options.. Under Tools|Configuration..|Thumbnails menu right? But for folder with the 1st time use, I still have to wait...

Err.. sorry for my bad English..

The correct one would be..
A permanent deletion of files inside the Recycle Bin 8)

That means I really need the Recycle Bin to show up as part of the XYplorer.. :)

Thank you.

Just in case someone missed them, there are a few options you have access to from XY, under the menu Tools: - Open Recyle Bin : open RB with Explorer - Empty Recycle Bin : does what it says, after the usual confirmation - Recycle Bin Stats : will tell how many items & how much space are on your...

ah!! ok.. i get it now. But I sure remember this topic being addressed before, but cant find it too. But as you suggest it would surely be an improvement over what it is now. But as a workaround, if you very often have to see the last files first then sort name column (right-click tab>sortby) in de...

In my opinion it thumbs only the ones you are viewing on the list and not all subfolders inside a folder. By the way, are you using the "super-fast thumbnail creation"? If not you will find it in tools>configuration>thumnails. It much much faster this way but at a slightly lower quality. ...

Thumbnail Views...

If I'm not mistaken, the conventional Windows Explorer would only display the thumbnails as the files are displayed on the screen. But with XYplorer, it seems that it tries to create thumbnail for every single file within the folder.. which is very annoying if there's a large number of pictures insi...
