Re: XYplorer thinks every deletion from network drives are permanent
Updated info for testing/debugging: I went back and pulled a few versions out of the freezer. All failed with this same error, going back to version 19.90.0100 (April 2019, prior to my other post). These tests were done on a completely clean/fresh instance of each of these versions, so it's certain ...

Re: XYplorer thinks every deletion from network drives are permanent
You know, I'm getting that same CTRL+Z error: 2022-12-20_12h53_07.png CTRL+Z works fine on this mapped drive letter when using Windows Explorer. I am pretty sure CTRL+Z was working at the time I made the post I referenced above, could go get old versions from the Freezer to test that theory. I do ha...

Re: Paste and go
As you see, I just added it to the icon's context menu, and I like it. I like this too! This is great, really useful. I've been using XY for many years now and I continue to find things I didn't know about, such as the rich set of features within the address bar icon menu, and that the menu is even...

Re: Paste and go
Oh, well then that sounds like a limitation you can't get around. The address bar is a dropdown combobox, which has an editable text field as the main portion. This editable text field has a context menu, which, when there are contents on the clipboard, offers "Paste", but not "Paste ...

Re: XYplorer thinks every deletion from network drives are permanent
Windows does not support recycling items from mapped drives by default. I posted a thread about this a while ago, follow these steps to enable network recycling:

Re: Paste and go
I see that, but it's not nearly as obvious or intuitive as Paste and go in the address bar would be. Would be a nice consistency addition.

Paste and go
Hi Don, would you consider adding "Paste and go" to the context menu within the address bar? This is common in browsers today. If you copy a path, and paste it into the address bar, you then have to press enter to perform the navigation. Adding "Paste and go" would perform the op...

Re: Which is which?
By the titlebar - it includes [READ ONLY]. Also, set this Tweak, it sets a highlight between the titlebar and the menu bar: ; Tweak: info bar in READ-ONLY instance: Backcolor(RRGGBB);Textcolor(RRGGBB);Text ReadOnlyBar=FFA6FF;000066;---->>>> READ ONLY <<<<---- Untitled.png

Re: Explorer replacement for Windows 11?
Take a look at Actual Window Manager, that can add favorite files and folders to any window, including standard dialogs.

My local folders were neither junctions nor mount points, but regardless, this is fixed in 23.80.0005

Re: XYcopy showing incorrect capacities (cause discovered, but still a bug)
No, plain directory path, and I am seeing the same 32GB capacity reported regardless of whether the drive is SATA, M.2, local, or NAS. As long as "check beforehand whether there is enough free space" is unchecked, I'm seeing 32GB reported as the total capacity.

Re: XYcopy showing incorrect capacities (cause discovered, but still a bug)
Yes, confirmed I can still reproduce it with "check beforehand whether there is enough free space" and "Enable background processing" both unchecked. Total capacity, regardless of target disk, is shown as 32GB.
