Re: Type part of a filename in list to jump to file
Hi, Does XY have an option where you type part of a filename in the files list and it jumps to the first match? This currently works for the beginning of the filename (you start typing text and it jumps to the file BEGINNING WITH what you typed) , but it is also useful where the text you want is in...

Re: Problems with Copy and Paste
Thanks avsfan, that was really inspired! :appl: Glad I was able to help! All I did was have the issue initially -- Zoran was the one who found the root cause! I just remember being totally frustrated when it first happened, as suddenly things that had worked for years stopped working! Even any scri...

Re: Problems with Copy and Paste
I was having a similar problem quite some time ago, and it turned out it was related to antivirus software (in this case Webroot Secure Anywhere). Here's the link to that thread, jumping to the solution: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10520&start=19 I'll quote the solution ...

Re: Drg & Drop onto a .zip file does not work
When I drag and drop a file onto a .zip file, in the same pane or the opposite pane, I get an error message: "Shell drop failed." When I do the same thing in Windows Explorer, the dropped file gets added to the .zip file archive. I have the same problem. I then tried right-clicking and dr...

Re: Find text in preview
I can't find this anywhere, so sorry if it was asked before. When I preview a text file, how can I find some text inside it? To see where is the text that was found in a search... (or just in general, for that matter). There are several of us that have asked for this, but up until now it hasn't bee...

Re: Support for Portable Devices
I don't know if you're still looking for information on which devices can be seen, but I'll share mine: My Samsung Galaxy S III (SGH-T999) shows up just fine in the tree and list. The files aren't yet accessible, but the structure looks good!

Re: Dropbox support in XYplorer?
I even color-code the tabs so I know at a glance which tab is for which folder. Maybe he just renamed the tab to add a color-coding icon and then locked it to particular folder. Or used the "Custom File Icons" feature to color code individual folders which show up as default tab captions ...

Re: Dropbox support in XYplorer?
Ages ago an association insisted that I joined Dropbox. At the time I was using PowerDesk. This currently shows the Dropbox icons etc. but I now use XYplorer. How can I 'move' Dropbox to XYplorer? (Dropbox have been no help.) I just have a tab in XYPlorer that points to my Dropbox folder (sometimes...

Oh, yes, please! +1 from me!

Re: Type Ahead Find in floating preview
I understand, but it would be a big effort. Other things are more important. Well, darn... I was hoping it'd be a relatively simple addition for you. I guess I'll just need to be patient... And who knows, maybe you'll wake up one morning and say "OH, that's EASY!" and it'll be done that d...

Re: Type Ahead Find in floating preview
This is a file manager. The wish is aiming too far IMO. Hi Don, OK, I'll agree that editing (and perhaps even TAF in the preview) might be a bit too much. However, I do believe that the highlighting of the found strings would be completely consistent with the way XY works, and the way many of us wo...

Re: Type Ahead Find in floating preview
Strange, I thought this request would be really useful for many folks! Am I really the only one who would like to be able to find text in the preview/floating preview window, or do we have any others who can help meet Don's "Two Fools Rule" :) ? Come on, join the party! It'll be FUN! :)
