Well, the FREE version is so good that many have no reason to pay for it.

I praised Xyplorer in DSLReports BUT I can't direct you there because you would have to sign up to read it. The FREE edition is interfering with the paid versions. "Been using the paid version for years. It is much more program than I will ever use but that which I use - I love. Plus the licens...

As I have said before I only use a little tiny bit of XYplorer BUT the little tiny bit of it I really love.

I uninstalled XYplorer a couple of days ago and reinstalled it.

Then I installed Outpost Firewall Pro.

Update works fine.

All is well here so I assume all is well on my equipment.

I can slow down the loading time of Outpost but that won't solve the problem because after it has loaded I still can't access sites that it should be accessing. I'll be losing Outpost by the end of the year anyway since Kaspersky bought out the Outpost company and it will be gone by the end of this ...

Well, I booted up the computer and checked for updates AND IT WORKED! Tried language in help and it didn't work. Went back to check for updates and it did not work. Disabled firewall and everything worked. My firewall is Outpost Pro and I have been using it on all 5 computers and never had a problem...

Never had that problem before.

I'm not at the problematic computer right now but I will try your suggestion and also disable the firewall. I'm using the same firewall on all computers but It's worth a shot.

Going to the link you show I get the graphic attached here. Yes, I still get the error message. I uninstalled the program and did my best to clean up things but after reinstalling I still cannot update. It's really not a big deal but I will keep an eye on the updates and then go to the download site...

This afternoon I was surprised to see this mentioned. Turns out my XYplorer greeted me with that message and had stopped updating in Version 16.XXX Of course, I was able to go to the download site and update to the latest version but the message persists. I certainly would appreciate some suggestion...

Looks like the Internet is just loaded with good software sites.
