Strange multi-select
I recall someone else posting about this recently, though I can't find the post. Somehow "multi-select" got turned on. I thought maybe I accidentally hit a hotkey combo and turned it on. So I checked my custom keyboard shortcuts and there was no hotkey assigned. I turned it off again via T...

Re: "Threat detected"
Well I worked my way up through the most recent betas and they all have worked after I click "Run anyway." Just now I downloaded and unzipped the most recent, then copied my Data folder with all my settings. It seems to be working fine. Apparently the crisis remedied itself? Or maybe I jus...

Re: "Threat detected"
I restarted Windows. That didn't help. I went to the version just before the current one. That didn't help.
Then I got the portable of 20.90.0919 (fresh install/trial). At first Windows Defender wanted to block it, but I clicked "Run anyway." And it does seem to be working.

"Threat detected"
Arg!!! I updated to 21.00 a couple days ago and it was fine, but just now, Windows Defender doesn't like xyplorer. Simply removes xyplorer.exe. I'll try with the previous version, I guess... Using portable version on Win 10 with no admin rights, btw.

Re: Best way to get settings into updated portable?
Thanks for the reply Highend. I'm not seeing any commands inside of xyplorer to update, so I deleted everything from the newer folder that wasn't Type: Application. Then I moved everything that wasn't Type: Application from the older folder. This seems to have worked. ...actually it occurs to me tha...

Best way to get settings into updated portable?
Hi There, In past years I've always been an "administrator" of my computers. I recently started a job where I am not. I've been learning to use no-install software that doesn't require admin rights to run. So anyway, xyplorer works fine. I unzip the portable version info C:/Portables/ and ...

Re: Getting Full Path for External Programs
Is the "real path" different from just the full path? I use this often enough that I assign Alt+C to it (I don't recall the default hotkey). This command is also note worthy on the Menu bar, because it's the first menu (File) and the first item (which is submenu "ToClipboard") an...

Re: Open Excel Folder Location Hyperlinks with XYplorer?
Strange, I'm surprised this didn't work... In Excel I pressed Ctrl+K to make a link. Then I pointed it to
Excel won't open it though...

Re: Slow startup, etc.
Re start up speed: You can also get useful information if you open the Help Menu, then Crtl+Shift click the "Various Information" menu item. It will give you a report such as below. You can see that Drive H gives me problems. BTW this happens with other explorers too. It's because H is the...

Re: How do you use XY?
I rarely use Windows Explorer. XYplorer gets used throughout the day. I'm a school psychologist, so I generate a great deal of paperwork. XY definitely helps me to manage it all. Regarding Win+E.. I'm also an AutoHotkey user and I have a much-altered version of AutoCorrect.ahk running. I have a line...
