I'm aware XY can prevent files' deletion/modification via admin setts. But... what choices one have when it comes to ultimately forbid a file's deletion, regardless OS/win version, perhaps at master file table level?

Same here. Despite I am inclined to credit this to the OS account, majorly. Never saw this happening either on win xp or win 7, but it's a big time visitor on win 8.1. @highend: Not that I'm disagreeing, but - I never needed a return for those load() ops, in fact it never occurred to me I could use it that way. Any other benefit I may gather from using it the way you suggested? Or the other way round... any harm by doing that way?
